i am aware and i'm not trying to be insensitive. it sucks that he's gone... i never met him though, or had any interaction. i'm just saying - he was a member here. we all know the terrible ways you can go. i just think it's the best way for it to happen, if it has to happen. he was lucky in that regard.

Nobody wants to die pointlessly at what, 26, when they're in the prime of their life, from a simple slip on the floor or a fall off a stool. No, he did not die a painful, agonizing death, but it was still a total waste.

My moms neighbor tripped on a curb and hit his head, went home acting fine and died in his sleep that night. it doesn't take much, sadly. things like this that happen make me hate my job. poor Blake. so young. :'(

I knew a girl who passed away after falling off a stairwell. From what I understand she was drunk and there were like 30 people around her, she still went to sleep and no one stopped her.

i'm wondering why it took so long to get the official report. since i'm sure he wasn't walking around with a helmet on, there would have had to have been a bruise or something on his head. its not like he was moving at 60mph, stopped suddenly, and had his body jolted hard enough for his brain to bounce off if the inside of his skull without actually hitting his head. and if the damage to his brain had been that bad, it would have been evident when they examined it.

I was wondering about the head trauma too and im wondering just how noticeable that would be. Im only asking because Ive gotten concussions while up in the mountains and it was basically from hitting big holes and being thrown upswards and my head bouncing off the cab of the truck. Would there be bruising immediatly?
I think they got the autopsy back pretty quickly and were waiting on the coroner's report, which corroborated the autopsy.
