Woman dies after crash at Henrico dialysis clinic

One of two people injured when a car crashed into a kidney dialysis clinic in western Henrico County has died.

Barbara Carney-Clarke, 61, who listed an address of Moody Avenue in South Richmond, died at VCU Medical Center in Richmond shortly after Monday's accident, Henrico police Lt. Linda N. Toney said Tuesday.

Carney-Clarke was in the lobby of a DaVita Dialysis clinic when the sedan crashed into the front of the building in the 8800 block of Three Chopt Road at 10:36 a.m.

The other person in the lobby who was struck by the car was not seriously injured, Toney said. The driver of the car was not injured.

Toney said the crash remained under investigation, and no charges have been filed.
