The parents of a malnourished baby have been charged with second-degree murder after the three-month-old died weighing just three pounds - half what she did at birth.
Oklahoma City Police initially charged local couple Alysha Marie Anderson, 19, and Miguel Antonio Soto, 20, with three counts of child neglect each.

But on Monday afternoon police confirmed the charges would be increased to second-degree murder, according to Koco.com.

OK, I understand that maybe they can't charge these "people" with first-degree murder, but there have to be some more charges they could tack on. This is basically torturing something to death. Shooting the baby would have been more humane. "Child neglect" does not begin to describe what they did.

I'm not sure I agree with this. If she's had three kids by the age of 19, I'm sure her doc has suggested/helped her enroll in WIC. She probably knows 21521 girls in the same shit-basket she's in, that are enrolled in WIC. There's no excuse for this fuckery.. I read somewhere they both said they kept forgetting to feed the baby. I don't understand how these stories even happen where people starve their kids to death. How does someone else not notice? Doesn't the baby cry constantly and annoy you in to feeding them? Do you wake up one day and think "Fuck this shit is hard. I'm not gonna bother today." Why go through 9 months and then just not bother to feed your baby?
