Yeah technically he would have sex and then murder on film. But clearly they did the nasty right before he killed him, I don't see any other way the guy was tied up like that and totally not fighting or acting scared. They probably did it off film, he started the recording to show he was alive, turned off the film to do the initial kill and then turn it back on for the dismemberment and necro acts.

It's weird that the other flamboyant gay spree killer who automatically comes to mind is Andrew Cunanan, who indeed wanted his killings to make him famous.
