A tragic loss of Kyle Brooks
A 2010 high school super star, Kyle Brooks died at the Antelope Valley hospital after a car crash that led Brooks brain dead.
In 2008 Brook led the Quartz High school football team to a great win in the golden lead football game. Two years later brook graduated, leaving his family and friends behind to play college football at Sacramento State University, but Brooks didn’t stay all four year of college in Sacramento, instead he decided to come home and go to “College Of The Canyon” (a local community college in Valencia C.A) to play football there.
On March first, 19 year old, Kyle Brooks was seriously injured after his compact car went off the road of “Bouquet Canyon Road,” rolling 80 feet down, leaving Brooks thrown out form his wind- shields. Kyle was admeditly rush to the Antelope Valley hospital at 9pm, Thursday night after his spring football practice.
Witnesses told the CHP officers that Brooks crossed over a double yellow line in the center of the road to pass other vehicles. After Brooks passed, witnesses said Brook speed to fast to get him back straight, instead it left him losing control of the wheel, leading him to crash down 80 feet down Bouquet Canyon Road.
After talking to Devin Brook (Kyle brooks younger brother) had explained Kyle Brooks’ condition, Devin Brook said Kyle whole left side of his body was swelled up and that he was brain- dead from his crash. Brooks was remained on life support through the weekend just to see if he would wake up or respond to any of the doctor’s test. On Monday March 5, Brook family took him off of life support leaving the hospital without their son Kyle Brooks.
Brittney Brooks (older sister of the brooks family) told all of Kyle Brook family and friend that they’re going to have a special memorial service and would all though who wants to be there to come. Kyle Brooks will be buried March 17, 2012, leaving his family and friends behind, but he’s off to a better place.
