BOURNE (AP) - A senior at Massachusetts Maritime Academy has been arrested after allegedly striking and injuring three pedestrians, two of whom are also students at the school.
School president Adm. Richard Gurnon tells the Cape Cod Times the pedestrians were struck at about 1:10 a.m. Friday. The car then backed up and drove way.
Bourne police arrested the driver, Max Yerger, of Westerly, R.I., shortly after the accident.
Gurnon says the suspect was returning to campus from an area bar. The victims had been at the same bar.
All victims are reported to be in stable condition.
The investigation is ongoing.
