Saw this, too. Not sure if it was a real sighting or just something her mom heard. Anyway, I'm thinking either 1. She ran away to start a new life (and left behind her items to make sure no one could trace her) or 2. She was abducted (by someone she knows).

Sadly it looks like you guys called it 100% right. Lajuana Shunta Long, 22 & Jeremy Paul Thornburg, 24, will face trial for the murder of 3mths pregnant Candice Shields, mother of an 18mth old boy. Authorities have as yet released little detail, & as such it was unknown whether a body or murder weapon had been located.

Her case is on a site called victim's heartland that discusses the arrests but also says human remains were recovered from a residential property in Sweetwater. I can't post a link to that forum because it's an incredibly long one & they don't seem to work when I type them manually.

That forum has a post suggesting Lajuana was also pregnant to Thornberg at the time Candice went missing, but that he has since reconciled with his ex-wife who also has a child with him??
