For me, seeing others breastfeed in public always makes me feel uncomfortable. I don't really know why, but it just does.
I mean, I'm totally cool with being naked around a bunch of strangers, but when I have kids I don't think I'll ever be able to breastfeed in public...it's just strange to me.
I think the problem is that it just makes a lot of people feel uncomfortable.
Also, a three year old shouldn't be breast feeding. It's like the three year old in my class who still has a pacifier. Ugh.
There is an age when I think breastfeeding becomes totally inappropriate.

On a more serious note, thru all these pages of conversation I can see everyone's side really. The one side I don't get is the 'ewwwww. BF'ing is groooooosssss'. I have never thought it to be a gross thing, ever so that's the only thing I disagree with some people on. But putting that aside, the main issue just seems to be when/where and how long. Those issues should just really be up to the mother.
I knew this one girl who worked with me years ago and I remember that it struck me weird when she was pregnant and telling me that she wasnt going to nurse because she wanted to smoke weed. It wasnt that she didnt want to nurse, it was her reason why which in the end really was a wise decision.

The only people that said breastfeeding is gross are Chauncy and Ron. So if anyone that has been on here long enough is taking them seriously, then they are looking for things to bitch about.
