I am just trying to understand the options. I wouldn't imagine it hurts less having a teething baby suckling. Shit, as a matter of fact the whole idea of having breasts fill up with milk that you have to express sounds painful in an of itself, let alone the different ways to have that nourishment reach your child.

And also, I used to breastfeed with several women at a time in public at playgroup and no one used a cover, and no one was the wiser. The only time I see anything hanging out is when it's a new mom trying to get used to things and messing with the baby's latch.

all's i'm saying is:
a) if the public is uncomfortable with seeing boobs &
b) mothers are uncomfortable with the stares and comments garnered from exposed boobage
then EVERYBODY involved seems to have some issue with it, therefore you have 2 options:
a) remove the public from the mother's proximity so that they can't be rude or
b) remove the mother from the public's proximity so there's no initiating factor
i supposed this issue can be eliminated by creating public baby stations that have feeding/changing areas. like i said before - for those of you who joined the conversation late - sure, i'm a little uncomfortable with it, but ultimately i don't give a shit. i'm just playing the DA a little.
