Here's the video - it's pretty boring until about 1.25ish, where I think one tells the other to slow down as he is doing 90mph in a 30 zone. And the crash happens just after 1.30. You can hear the first person on the scene after the accident asking if they can hear her.

I can't understand a word they are saying...??

I will never understand why people think it is okay to be going 90 in a 30. I mean, it's 30 for a reason....still, very sad. I wonder what the car looked like, how bad it was after the crash.

Damn, if their car did that to a solid stone wall, I can only imagine what the car looked like afterwards.

Driving like dicks. I'm glad that they didn't take anyone else who was innocent out in the process. Hopefully the video does something good and keeps someone else from ending up the same way.

I thought I heard the passenger say he was putting his seat belt on and then may have asked the driver if he had his on. Sounds like they were dead on impact. No moaning, groaning, agonal breathing, or any sounds of movement.

I think it's great the family is supportive in releasing the video. I think kids should see these things prior to getting a license. I think they should see the accident scene pics too. Not just the car wreckage, but the mangled bodies as well. Let them think about driving recklessly or under the influence after seeing that shit.

Yep - I agree. Kind of like a Scared Straight for new drivers.

Exactly. I know most parents would disagree because they want to protect their snowflakes from the trauma, but I think it's better to scare the crap out of them than have to scrape them off the pavement.

I agree 100% with the family releasing this video. I have been speaking with my 14 yr old son and his friends about being young stupid drivers. They are all getting their driving permits very soon and I'll be damned if they aren't taught that bad shit happens and can happen to them.

The article mentioned that these boys they were high on a cocktail of drugs, this is another subject recently discussed as kids are doing Pharm parties where they take handfuls of prescription pills, not even knowing what they are and drinking.

I just showed the video to my son and I hope and pray he will always remember it.

RIP boys and prayers to their families and friends.

A few of the articles I've read said they were dead on impact

Exactly. It doesn't matter walk of life you come from. It can happen. Some kids just think they are invincible.

I worked with a doctor who's son called regarding a side effect from a pharm party. A friend of the son had a boner for 16 hours (IIRC) and was freaking out. Someone brought Viagra to the pharm party. I mean, it's funny, but it's not funny. And that's how the doctor found out his snowflake was attending pharm parties.

Your right, it's funny but not funny. These parties are dangerous and I was totally surprised by how many of my son's friends parents have no sense in talking to their kids about the good and bad in life. You can't raise your kid in a bubble these days.

Unless that child has immune system problems. Then he can't leave a bubble

I'd show it to my kids too. I had no idea that there were pharm parties. That's fucking scary and stupid to take pills that you have no idea what they are and chase them with alcohol. That's a recipe for death.

I have an almost 12 year old daughter, and I am a scared straight kind of mom. When she was little and would run ahead of me on the sidewalk, I would tell her that there might be kidnappers up ahead, LOL. I am honest and tell her like it is. She is a straight A student, very bright, but I never hide the horrors of the world from her. I feel she has to be prepared to know what to do in the event of something bad happening (God forbid). So yeah, when the time comes, she will be watching all kinds of car accident videos.

I am totally with you. I want my kids to be aware of their surroundings and hopefully be able to think clearly if they found themselves in a bad situation. I too am very open with my kids so they are street smart and book smart.

I feel bad for these boy's parents but I'm damn glad they didn't go barreling into an innocent family.

    Fuck those kids.

I'm totally gonna show that video to my boys.

My high school only has a senior prom and a month or so before we had an assembly where a cop talked to us about drinking and driving. I don't think he showed any pictures or anything but told us about traffic laws and how you can kill some one or yourself drinking and driving.

Speaking of proms, when my daughter was in high school, maybe 2006/2007 there was a group of 6 kids who all decided to ride in one car, the prom king & queen were with them. The driver looked away to get a piece of gum and they crashed. The king & queen died. I do not remember where this happened, but the other kids came together and created this program to teach young drivers safety. The champaign taught kids that the driver was the pilot and the passenger was the co-pilot and was responsible for phones, radio, etc. leaving the driver to concentrate on driving.

I have searched and searched and cannot find the website they created. I love this idea and passed it onto my daughter and her friends. They are all 25 now and still do this. My 14 & 12 year olds are being taught this now.

It only takes a second and kids need to understand that drugs, alcohol or speed is not always involved, inexperience and stupidity kills just as many kids.

I think it is the site and if it is it's a whole lot a better than the original one. I'm going to forward it to the teacher at my sons high school, it would go really well with their current safety program. So far this school year, our area has lost 5 teens to accidents.

    Thanks for finding that vodka!!
