Jo Ann Bain and her children Kyliyah (8), Alexandria (12), and Adrienne (14) missing from Tennessee

    http://mydeathspace.com/article/2012..._her_daughters

Two bodies have been found in Mississippi during the search for a missing Tennessee woman and her three children ?in extreme danger,? authorities said Saturday.

The bodies were found as federal search warrants were carried out at Mississippi residences associated with Adam Mayes, 35, charged with abducting Jo Ann Bain and her children, FBI spokesman Joel Siskovic told The Associated Press.

The missing Bain girls are Kyliyah, 8, Alexandria, 12, and Adrienne, 14. They were last seen April 27 in Hardeman County, Tenn. The woman's husband reported her missing and her car was found abandoned, the FBI said.

Adam Mayes, wanted in the disappearance of Jo Ann Bain and her three daughters, is considered "armed and extremely dangerous," officials say.

The FBI and U.S. Marshals Service are offering a reward of up to $50,000 for information that leads to the location of the missing victims and the arrest of Mayes.

"Information has been developed during the investigation that the children may be in extreme danger,? the Mississippi Department of Public Safety spokesman Warren Strain said Saturday.

The FBI said arrest warrants were issued for Mayes, who "is considered armed and extremely dangerous," according to state officials.

Authorities were not able to positively identify the bodies, Siskovic told the AP.

NBC station WTVA of Tupelo said the bodies were found in Union County, in the Alpine community, northwest of Tupelo.

Mayes was last seen Tuesday in Guntown, north of Tupelo, the FBI said. He had been described as a family friend.

Authorities are trying to determine if Jo Ann Bain went with Mayes willingly, Siskovic said.

Officials contacted Mayes early in the investigation, but he later fled when authorities tried to contact him again, the FBI said in a statement.

Mayes may have changed his and the Bains? appearances by cutting his hair and cutting and dying the girls? hair, the FBI said.

Siskovic told the AP that the bodies were found in a residence, but it wasn't clear if it was a house, mobile home or apartment. He also wasn't sure if the residence belonged to Mayes or an acquaintance.

Authorities had said that Mayes could be in Mississippi but that he has ties to Arizona, Texas, North Carolina, South Carolina and Florida.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol issued an Amber Alert on Saturday morning, and Tennessee authorities had also issued an alert.

Authorities asked anyone with information on the case to call 1-800-TBI-FIND.

Joann Bain and her 3 daughters, Adrienne, 14, Alexandria, 12, and Kyliyah, 8, have been missing since last Friday morning after leaving their home in Whiteville. The father who is biological to one daughter and the adoptive father of the other two daughters reported them missing Friday evening when they did not return home.

The father mentioned that they were just about to move to Arizona that same weekend right before the disappearance of his family.

The SUV (Dodge Durango) that Joann was driving turned up on a county road about three miles from the family home that Friday evening. The witness also mentioned that the vehicle was there earlier in the day and just thought it was out of gas.

Joann's credit card and cell phone have not been used since last week, but her Facebook page has had activity since Friday. The Sheriff's Department is investigating her Facebook page.

Hardeman County Sheriff John Doolan has not ruled out any foul play due though no signs have been found. Sheriff Doolan mentioned that there is a person of interest who is a family friend, but turned around and issued a warrant for his arrest.

Could be, or it could be that there is something private that we can't see.

^^Ugh...this whole thing makes me sick. I hope we can find out what happened to Adrienne, and find the others alive before anything else can happen. Rest in peace, Adrienne, you deserved better.

FBI: Bodies of missing Tenn. mom Jo Ann Bain and her daughter, Adrienne Bain, found

(AP) GUNTOWN, Miss. - The bodies of a Tennessee mother and her oldest daughter were found behind an alleged kidnapper's house in north Mississippi, the FBI said Monday, and authorities believe the woman's two other daughters are still with the man accused in their abduction.

Jo Ann Bain and her three daughters disappeared April 27 as the family was packing to move to Arizona. The bodies of Bain and her 14-year-old daughter, Adrienne Bain, were found behind Adam Mayes' house near Guntown, a rural area police have been searching.

The bodies were discovered late last week and positively identified. The FBI did not say how the two died.

The FBI said it believed the other daughters — 12-year-old Alexandria and 8-year-old Kyliyah — were still with Mayes. The agency did not say in a news release why it thought that, and FBI spokesman Joel Siskovic said no further details were available on the bodies or the search for Mayes and the girls.

Mayes, a longtime friend of Bain's husband, had stayed over at the family's house to help them pack and load a U-Haul to drive across the country to Arizona, authorities said. Gary Bain, who was at the house that night, awoke to find his wife, daughters and Mayes gone.

He couldn't reach his wife on her cell phone that day, and reported them missing when the girls didn't get off the school bus.

Mayes was last seen a week ago in Guntown, about 80 miles south of the Bain family's home in Whiteville, Tenn. Authorities talked to Mayes early on in the investigation, but he fled when they tried to contact him again, Siskovic said.

Both Gary Bain and Mayes were once married to sisters, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation spokeswoman Kristin Helm said.

Jo Ann Bain's Facebook page showed in the days before the four disappeared she was packing and working on homework. Her last post, dated April 26, said "a good venting always makes you feel better." It didn't say why she was venting.

Jo Ann Bain's aunt hoped her niece and the girls were safe.

"I pray for Jo Ann and the girls to be OK and for them to come home," said Beverly Goodman, who works at Whiteville City Hall.

She said her niece was not the type of woman to run off with someone.

Goodman expressed frustration that the authorities didn't issue an amber alert sooner. "What would it have hurt to put an Amber Alert out?" Goodman said. "They might have saved a couple of lives."

Linda Kirkland, a family friend and cook at the Country Cafe in Whiteville, said Jo Ann Bain and her daughters were moving because two of the girls had asthma.

"Jo Ann and the kids, everyone loves them. We're just hoping to hear that they're safe," she said.

Mayes also has ties to Arizona, Texas, North Carolina, South Carolina and Florida. He may be using the aliases of Christopher Zachery Wylde or Paco Rodrigass, the FBI said.

    According to http://wreg.com/2012/05/07/suspected...cebook-photos/

"Mayes’ profile photos show him with the Bain girls clinging to him.
In fact, most of his Facebook pictures, show him with Jo Ann Bain’s daughters.
A close family friend said Mayes is the ex-brother in law of Jo Ann`s husband Gary.
He was the family`s handy man and baby sat the three girls."

I'm still looking for any criminal history.

i looked at all the fb pics of them together. it was obvious they were quite comfortable with each other, that there was trust there. it seems like something happened to make him snap? how do you go from caring for someone to killing them and their kids. why was the father not killed? i have so many questions.

i guess i just assumed they didn't ID them publically, but maybe that isn't the case. the timeline makes it seem like the amber alert was issued after the bodies were found so you're right, that is fucked. ugh.

I think the youngest girls are the only people he had pictures with on his facebook, I think he might just be a prototypical creeper; get in close to the parents to get to the kids.

one of the articles above states that he and their father/step father had once been married to sisters. so his connection with the family is through the child's mother's husband...who i believe is the father of the youngest two but i'm not 100%? can someone clarify?

    Ohhh shady ass bitches..

    http://www.cnn.com/2012/05/08/justic...html?hpt=hp_t1

(CNN) -- Police in Tennessee have arrested the wife and mother of the man suspected of kidnapping Jo Ann Bain and her three daughters, a county official said Tuesday.

Mary Frances Mayes, 65, and Teresa Ann Mayes, 30, were arrested Monday according to Hardeman County, Tennessee, Deputy Clerk Pat Kirk. Teresa Mayes has been charged with four counts of especially aggravated kidnapping, while Mary Frances Mayes has been charged with four counts of conspiracy to commit especially aggravated kidnapping.

They appeared before a judge Tuesday morning and were being held in the Hardeman County jail, Kirk said.

According to an arrest warrant, Teresa Mayes admitted driving a vehicle containing Jo Ann Bain and her three daughters from Hardeman County to Union County, Mississippi. Bain and her oldest daughter, Adrienne, suffered "serious bodily injury as a result of their removal or confinement," according to the warrant.

Convictions carry possible sentences of 15 to 60 years in prison under Tennessee law. Bond has been set at $500,000 for Teresa Mayes, while Mary Frances Mayes' bond was set at $300,000, Deputy Clerk Rhonda Sipes said. Both women were assigned court-appointed attorneys and are slated to make their next appearance in court on May 22.

The bodies of Jo Ann Bain and her eldest daughter, Adrienne, were found Friday at a home in Guntown, Mississippi, that has been linked to the suspect, Adam Mayes. Police say they are still searching for Mayes and Bain's two younger daughters, Alexandria Bain, 12, and Kyliyah Bain, 8.

In Mississippi, authorities continued to stop and search cars at checkpoints set up to look for them, state Highway Patrol Master Sgt. Johnny Poulos said.

Mayes, 35, is considered armed and dangerous, and authorities have asked for the public's help in tracking down him and the two girls.

Authorities established contact with and tried to interview Mayes soon after the mother and her three daughters were reported missing on April 27 by Jo Ann's husband in Whiteville, a western Tennessee town of 4,600 people, but he fled, Joel Siskovic, the spokesman for the FBI bureau in Memphis, Tennessee, told CNN affiliate WPTY.

He was last seen May 1 in Guntown, the same northern Mississippi town where the bodies were found. Details haven't been released as to how or exactly when they died.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation late last week issued an Amber Alert asking for the public's help in finding the Bain sisters and for information leading to Mayes' arrest.

Aaron T. Ford, special agent in charge at the FBI's Memphis, Tennessee, bureau, told CNN on Sunday that investigators believe all the kidnapping victims "were transported across state lines into Mississippi."

Local, state and federal law enforcement's focus is now in Union County, Mississippi, where Guntown is located, the FBI agent said. Authorities have also pointed out, however, that Mayes has connections to Texas, North Carolina, South Carolina and Florida and could be en route to Arizona.

Mayes may be using the alias of Christopher Zachery Wylde or Paco Rodrigass, his Facebook profile name, the FBI said Monday.

Rick Foster, whose wife was a lifelong friend of Jo Ann Bain and whose daughter was a classmate of Adrienne Bain, recently told CNN that Mayes had been a friend of the Bain family for years. Mayes lived about 90 miles away in Mississippi, Foster said, but would stay with the Bains when he was in the Whiteville area.

He described Mayes as "a big kid in a grown man's body."

Mary Patterson, Mayes' landlord in Alpine, Mississippi, told WPTY that she thought he was a "kind" and "fun guy."

"If somebody told me this, I would have never believed it," she said.

Authorities describe Mayes as a white man who has blue eyes and brown hair, weighs about 175 pounds and stands 6-foot-3. He recently cut his own hair and may have done the same to the missing children, according to the Amber Alert.

As for the Bains, Foster described the marriage between Jo Ann and her husband, Gary, as "perfect" and said the family had planned to move to Arizona once the school year ended.

The FBI and U.S. Marshals Service are offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to Mayes' arrest and to the missing girls.

Seriously that guy is creepy as fuck.
I really hope that they find the two younger girls alive. I don't think they will though. Once you have done something so bold like murdering two other people, what is two more? He knows he is fucked when he gets caught, so there is nothing stopping him. Horrible situation.
    RIP Jo Ann and Adrienne.
