Adam Daniel Klynsma, 26, Rapid City, died Friday, April 27, 2012, in a work-related accident.
Adam is known for his strong sense of self worth. He would not change for anyone, no matter the grief that he sometimes endured because of the things he loved. He will always be remembered for his attitude of "all or nothing." When he decided to do something he immersed himself in it, completely. When asked why he sacrificed so much of his time and money for the Pokemon League he replied, "My love of the game and the kids who play it. It gives the kids something to do to keep them off the streets and away from alcohol and drugs." He will be remembered for his love of metal working, Pokemon, Cosplay, SodakCon and the SCA. Through his skills with a sewing machine, his knowledge of metal and his patience with leather, he would create his own costumes and armor. Adam would always be ready to lend a helping hand to build a new game strategy or design a new piece of armor. But he would never do the work for you. He pushed people to learn how to do these things by showing and helping whenever necessary.
Adam we love you and will miss you dearly. The world is poorer for losing you. Say "Hi" to your grandparents.
