John Dominic DiBernardi and SuAnn Margaret DiBernardi (nee Gorman), husband and wife of 35 years died on February 23, 2012. John graduated from Clearview High School in 1972 and has lived in Pitman over 35 years. SuAnn was lifelong resident of Pitman and a graduate of Pitman High School in 1973. They are survived by two daughters Beth-Ann (Jason) Peek and Laura (Scott) Zettle and three grandchildren Madison and Logan Peek and Brayden Zettle. John is also survived by his sister Barbara Wurst and SuAnn is survived by two brothers Robert and Lewis Gorman. Friends may greet the family on Tuesday after 10am in the KELLEY FUNERAL HOME, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ. Memorial services will be at 11am. Interment private. The comptroller of a city business is accused of stealing more than $300,000 from his employer, Camden County Prosecutor Warren W. Faulk said today.

John DiBernardi, 57, of Bellmawr is charged with theft and computer theft. He was taken into custody today by Bellmawr police officers and was committed to the Camden County Jail in lieu of $75,000 bail.

DiBernardi is accused of writing himself checks from the accounts of S.T. Hudson Engineers, where he worked as comptroller. DiBernardi took more than $300,000 from his employer between 2007 and July and deposited the money into his personal accounts, a spokesman for Faulk said.

He then deleted records of the checks he used from the business’ computer system. Investigators are still determining how DiBernardi used the money, said Jason Laughlin, spokesman for the prosecutor.

The theft came to light in July when Hudson Engineers learned a rental car that had been in an accident was paid for using a corporate credit card. The business was not aware of the rental and the call prompted an investigation, Laughlin said. The business conducted an internal audit, discovered the theft and reported their findings to the prosecutor’s office.

Oh, wow, that HAS to be the same person.

Same age - Bellmawr is 10-ish miles from Pitman.

And Intelius Search (screen cap below) says they are the same. They are pretty damn accurate when I have used them or checked relationships on them.

Pitman's John and SuAnn DiBernardi died on the same day while James and Linda Henry of West Deptford died just three days a part.

IIRC, he had embezzled money from his employer and she was sick. So they chose to depart the earth together. I will look for the info I found before when I get back from the doctor down at the medical school. Fun, fun, fun.

I bet since she was sick they decided to check out together. Especially if he had been embezzling money and she was going to pass, he probably felt like his world was about to fall apart.
