Well fwiw I doubt it was just a the jock strap. My gut feeling is that our victim was probably a "high school star" who behaved like a jerk to anyone who wasn't a jock. I tend to think there had to be more than just the one incident to make someone hold a lifelong grudge. That doesn't mean I think that Norman had it coming, but I can understand holding a grudge against (in my case) Jr. High Assholes. I'm not sure I'd be able to apply the brake if one of 3 girls stepped in front of me even today. Call me bitter.

The Steelhead can come back home here, stay for the rest of his days, and live among the other Rainbow trout, but he'll always be different because of where he's been." Morsi, Pamela. Garters.

It was well said because her emotion was palpable. I felt it. And while I hope there's more to the story than one fucking jock strap on the head, I still think it was a waste of fifty years of this guy's life to hold a stupid grudge.
Don't like what I have to say? I respect that. Now go fuck yourself.

    EXACTLY!

That part seems obvious to me though.

You guys act like he sat inside a box for all that time doing nothing else. You can be mad and still do other shit you know.

This is why I think it was awesome. High school passed, and he thought...."I can wait."
    And he did.

He lived his life, and did a bunch of shit. Then, when he was good and elderly, he went and made things even.

Yeah, and he fucked over his own family in the process. How can you not see that? I cannot imagine the pain I would feel if I spent 44 years with my husband, only to get to the tail end of our lives together and have him do something like this. Its a fucking slap in the face. Talk about being disrespected, man. :/

I do not like you right now. Like, I've legit lost some respect for you, and it bothers me because otherwise I like you a lot.

I wouldn't give a shit if my wife offed someone (who wronged her) when we're in our 70s. But I also put ZERO thought into old age or growing old with someone. Doesn't seem like a reality to me. Revenge does though.

I dunno why it's that big of a deal. I didn't actually kill anyone, you weirdo.

You wouldn't give a shit? I would. All the money you have saved up for retirement and to leave to your family after you die? Gone. Used for lawyers fees, court fees, and most likely a civil suit. They only appoint you a lawyer if you're broke. So everything you and your spouse have worked for your whole life, all of your assets? Pffftttt. Gone. Gone because that old douchebag couldn't put on his big boy pants and deal. What the fuck was all that for if you're only going to waste it in the end? His wife should be enjoying her retirement, not dealing with this shit. I'd be heartbroken if my husband acted so selfishly, to know that he thought so little of me and the life we built together that he would throw it all away over some dumb crap that happened 50 years ago.

You're not married, and I don't think you've ever been in love (correct me if I'm wrong on that point) so I guess you have no clue what its like to give your all to someone like that.

Assets!?!? Savings!?!? Leaving my family money!?!?!

Hahahahah dude....life is check to check. At least that's where I'm coming from (along with a lot of other people). You know how many folks are a few paychecks from being in the streets? Most of them. Fucking assets? Hahahaha.

I've been dealing with court proceedings since I was 14, and I haven't hired an attorney yet...cause I'm fucking broke!
So no, I definitely don't put thought into shit the way you do.
If someone wants to take me to civil court when I'm in my fucking 70s, I wish them the best of luck.

I seriously couldn't be coming from further than where you are.

And love? I guess. It's been there, but not the same as people who think about being together forever and building a future (as fucking teenagers and shit) though. But I never thought I'd make 36 years old, and that's coming up in a few days so what the fuck do I know?

Yeah, assets. They might not have a lot, but they were retired....so whatever they were planning on using to live for the rest of their lives is now gone. His wife is fucked, and not in a good way. Just because you are broke, that doesn't mean everyone else is, dude. If my father did this to my mother, there goes the house that they worked for 30 years pay off. There goes anything they have saved or in retirement accounts. There goes everything they've BOTH worked their asses off for for the almost 40 years they've been married.

You always want people to see things from your point of view, to understand where you're coming from. How about a little understanding from you for once, man? Knowing you for the past 3.5 years, I've learned a lot. I've learned to look at things from angles I never would have considered. I wish you could do the same. As a married woman, who plans/hopes to spend the rest of my life with the person I'm with, I don't find what this man has done to his family to be funny at all. Is it funny when a kid takes a gun to school to blow away the person who may have slighted him? No. Its sad and it sucks. So why is it funny if he does it 50 years later? Its like throwing a stone in a pond....the ripple effect. It doesn't just affect the guy who did the killing. It affects his family, the victims family, friends...

Meh. Should I even bother trying to explain anymore?

The reason it's sad and it sucks is because they have their whole lives ahead of them. For an old man to carry a grudge all this time and come for payback is some funny ass shit.

That's the first (and only) thing I'm thinking of. Not his family!

And why does anything have to be gone? His wife could say "Meh" and not do anything. They're half in the grave anyway.

Let him spend his 2 months and jail and die happy.

If they have joint assets, she really has no choice in the matter. That sucks for her. Royally.

I get the gist of it, it's just something I don't really care to learn the specifics of cause it doesn't have anything to do with me. You know...like the way they elect a president in France, or car insurance.

I could see this as me and my nemesis in 50 years. And if Sheldon and I were still together I imagine him saying, "Does this mean I don't have to hear about that damn nemesis bitch anymore? Yipee! Have fun in jail. I'll write." And then he probably wouldn't even write. I don't know. I guess I kind of see the humor in it.

Who has time for a nemesis anymore? O.o. maybe its because I'm an aspie, I don't know, but I can't be bothered with holding grudges. I mean, it probably doesn't affect the person you're holding a grudge against....most likely they don't give a fuck. I just don't see the point. Also, when I get mad, I let it be known right away. I don't sit and stew about it for hours/days/months etc. I let the person know what's up, and then I'm done. I don't have the ability to care for that long. I'm usually in the neenerverse anyway. I gots my own 'verse. I'm not even mad. :P
