Me too, Lily. I totally forgot it was going to be made and then found it ran back in February.

I'm about halfway through it. I like it, even though it deviates from the book a bit. James Franco is really good.

That is good to hear ~ thanks, Nomad. I was wondering how James Franco was in it, as he is one of those hit or miss type of actors.

I just finished reading "Magruder's Curiosity Cabinet". It was a great, captivating read!

I've read some pretty good books so far this year, I normally stick to non-fiction:
I'll Be Gone in the Dark-Michelle McNamara
    Mindhunter-John Douglass
    Dead by Sunset-Ann Rule
    Histories-Herodotus
    History of the Peloponnesian War-Thucydides

And a few others but these were my standouts. Recently I picked up this:

    https://www.amazon.com/Women-Crime-W.../dp/B01682F8QO

It's not my normal genre but I like it so far. Like old school crime noir, I guess it's called. Basically Whodunit. Anyone read this or the other books I mentioned? Got any recommendations?

If you like crime-fiction with a good female lead I recommend the Lizzy Gardner Series by TR Ragan. I finished the series...I think last month? And I feel like I?m still mourning lol I started reading another crime series by her about human sex trafficking but I?m like I MISS LIZZY! And paused half way through the second book. 😂 They?re all free to read on Kindle Unlimited!

I?m a huge bookworm and I have read 51 books this year and my goal is 75. I love Goodreads too for that reason to help me set goals and helps with recommendations as well!

Right now I?m re-reading Harry Potter like I?ve done every year since I was like 8. Lol I?m on the last one.
And I?m reading (well paused like I said lol) Outrage by TR Ragan.

I really liked reading "The Woman in the Window" by A.J. Finn.
It had an interesting twist at the end.

What book should I read next?
I like historical fiction, biographies, murder mysteries, and thrillers.
But I'm open to reading a new genre.

I know I’m 10 years late but I’m going to read “I’ll be gone in the dark” by Michelle McNamara.

I think I still have the audio book version of this if you'd like it.

I just finished "Happy And You Know It" in a day. Surprising since I have a baby.

    OK then

"Blackout" author Candace Owens has been accusing Amazon employees of damaging her books.

Controversial political commentator, host of “The Candace Owens Show” and author Candace Owens took to Twitter in late September to accuse Amazon employees of damaging her books and use the accusations to encourage her supporters to buy the next round of released copies more quickly.

Owens, a liberal-turned-conservative, is a supporter of President Donald Trump and has been a leader of the “Blexit” movement, a nonprofit organization “dedicated to the advancement of urban and minority communities.”

She recently wrote a book called, “Blackout: How Black America Can Make Its Second Escape from the Democrat Plantation,” which was released on September 15, 2020, on Amazon.

Candace Owens Showed a Photo of What Appeared to Be the Damaged Cover of Her Book

In a tweet she released just four days after her book hit the open market, Owens wrote, “Dear @amazon. About 1,000 people have written to let me know that your employees appear to be stomping on and in this case, smearing Vaseline on my books before mailing them. I know it must have pained you to ship out all 90,000 copies you had in stock— but this is unacceptable.”

Owens received responses from some other recipients of the book, who said it was damaged. On October 4, one woman wrote that she received a copy with fingerprints and smudges all over it:

I just started the first book in the Bosch series by Michael Connelly. Goodreads suggested it because I really like John Sanford, but I have finished all of his stuff, except the most recent one that I am waiting on. So far it's got me hooked, I had trouble putting it down this weekend.

I tried to read Dan Brown's The Lost Symbol but it just didn't grab me. I have read other books of his but I am not a huge fan like some people...they will pass the time if there's nothing better to read, but that's about it.

I've had a stack of books sitting on my table for months now. Apparently they are for dust collection rather than reading?

I read a few of the Bosch series several years back. I liked them too. I'm not sure why I didn't continue on with them, unless of course Harlen Coben came out with something new. He always sidetracks me. lol

Series are definitely awesome. During 2018 - 2019 I read two to three books a week, sometimes more. Interestingly enough during 2020 I read very little. I think because there was just soo much crazy to keep up with.

    What's wrong with me?!
I joined some Facebook book selling groups to get rid of books and somehow I ended up buying/swapping books.
I have no time to read books, because I have to constantly watch my toddler (whose favorite activity is climbing on the couch), but I want more new books.
I think I have some type of problem where I want to be like the cool kids and own all the popular books.
How the heck do I quit this addiction?!

I have books from the library, but I never get to read them, because I'm constantly on my phone (another problem I have).
Also, if your library doesn't get the newest releases, you have to wait 6 months to get the newest release which your library borrows from another library.
