Wow, his blog pulls on my heart strings. RIP Ramon.
for VS2S
The day I found out that you'd passed, I couldn't believe it. I was told late in the afternoon, as I had chosen the day to sleep in. It seemed you passed quickly, because the cancer quickly spread to your tummy. I was shocked, like several thousand people in this city ( you knew everyone! <3) It happened so quick. I had resolved to accept your passing back when you were diagnosed, but after the Whipple Procedure, and you kicking such ass in your treatments, I thought you'd def make it and pull through.
I didn't cry until H posted this amazing pic of you. It set me off. I swore I'd save my tears for your memorial. But you were so amazing as a person. The ultimate businessperson. You inspired me to go to grad school, and to persue my photoshop skills. Ramon, I will miss you for years, I will see your shop and wish you were still there, with a smile and a "hey, mami".
For those of you that donated to Ramon's trust, thank you so much. Ramon had a lot of medical expenses, and anything helped, and many of you helped me help him without ever knowing him.
For those of you in the Houston area, Ramon's memorial will be held at St. Anne's on Kirby across from Cafe Adobe at 7:00 PM tonight.

So sorry for your loss.
I lost my Aunt to pancreatic cancer last month. It was definitely hard on me, as it was my whole family since we are all so close. She fought for 2 1/2 years, and I thought in the beginning, since she was doing so well she was going to pull through, but she didn't. Pancreatic cancer has such a small survival rate, it's not fair. I am so sorry for your loss, I know what you're going through...
