I don't understand how these people are even taken seriously. Conservatives are insane, and Liberals are delusional cause we expect better from people....and it just never happens.

    Winnefred or something.

We don't get any ads really. NY is blue and nothing is gonna change that. But the thought of you not wanting to vote scares me.

I don't get the whole 'not voting' thing cause when I was 17 my mom dragged me to register and I get hounded about voting. My mom is from a generation that marched for rights though, so it's been pounded into my head that if I don't vote I'm a sucker. Hearing that shit since I was like 6.

its been pounded into my head, too. i remember going to the poles with my mom as a kid. and she votes for EVERYTHING. but recently she started voting republican. it's like i don't even know her. :|

i'm usually the most adamant get-out-the-vote person i know. i just feel totally fucking jaded.

i mentioned yesterday that i ran into my old friend who works for obama. when i told him i don't know if i can vote he told me that he knew i was well educated about issues and it would be offensive for him to try to tell me otherwise. i really respect him for that. and he's right.

Hahaha If I voted Republican my mom would smother me in my sleep.

Only Republican I ever voted for was Rick Lazio when he ran against Hillary. I did that just so she didn't literally get 100% of the Black vote.

I remember Al Sharpton was on The Chris Rock Show, they wee talking about that shit, and when it came up that Hillary got like 99.2% of the Black vote Al said "yea, we're still looking for that guy." and I fucking laughed my ass off.

fucking amazing. i can totally get behind that kind of strategic voting, too. its just more difficult to do in a purple state. this is why voting third party isn't an option, may as well vote for romney. it just feels soooo dirty to vote for obama. not to mention the whole feeling that the election is really just for show. my head and my heart can't agree on this one.

Not for nothing, but the whole not caring thing seems like it's for white folks.

Obviously a bunch of people don't vote, but holy shit there seem to be a lot of white folks who couldn't care less (but complain).

my internal debate about not voting doesn't have anything to do with not caring, quite the opposite as a matter of fact. it has to do with not participating in a sham, bought-and-paid-for election.

Don't mean people like you though. The ones that don't know the vice president's name, and haven't voted in a decade. (but still bitch)

I have seen the future and I'm fairly relieved to say, it looks nothing like me.

My vote might count for one single solitary Electoral vote since Nebraska splits theirs. Since I really don't want Romney to win I will vote Obama, but if it's looking like a lock for Obama then I'd vote for Jill Stein.

PA is almost always a swing state, so I don't have the luxury of voting for a Green Party candidate.
