Before his page disappeared this dude was listed as one of his brothers. He has said a couple of things.

The chick "Katy Conrad" deleted a earlier post to him, telling him she worked for some media outlet and wanted to talk to him.

The guy Cory that he mentions, (I do believe) is Ryan's roommate and the son of the Apartment manager.

Good find Pheara! I checked all of Ryan's siblings/mother's page(s) except for this one, and didn't find anything...

The killer looks like a male version of Mya Rudolph.

And that guy wouldn't be my "bro" after finding out he murdered and raped a little kid. If he beat up his ex or something, maybe. But not this. This is grounds for immediate bro-status termination.

Is this the man who killed little Jorelys? Maintenance worker, 20, arrested after seven-year-old girl was sexually assaulted, stabbed and beaten to death

Ryan Brunn lived and worked at same apartment complex where the girl disappeared

Body of Jorelys Rivera found brutally disfigured in dumpster on Monday

The 20-year-old man arrested today in connection with the killing of a seven-year-old girl lived and worked at the same apartment complex where she disappeared.

Ryan Brunn was a maintenance worker at the complex and tips from the public led investigators to him, investigators said.

Jorelys Rivera was abducted, stabbed and sexually assaulted before her body was thrown in a bin at the complex in Canton, Georgia.

Autopsy results showed the girl died of blows to the head.

Brunn doesn't have a criminal history but Georgia Bureau of Investigation director Vernon Keenan told reporters: 'We are confident that Brunn is the killer and that is why he is in custody.'

Prior to being arrested on murder charges today at 12.40 pm, Brunn had been under surveillance.

Jorelys Rivera was last seen on Friday evening at 5 pm leaving a playground at her apartment complex.

The chief investigator into the death of Jorelys Rivera was so distraught over the girl's wounds he refused to describe them yesterday.

The seven-year-old girl, whose body was found in a Georgia dumpster, was bludgeoned, sexually assaulted and stabbed in a particularly vicious attack by a killer who police believe lives in her apartment complex.

Keenan said Brunn had keys to both the empty apartment and the trash compactor bin where Rivera's body was placed.

The wounds to her body were so severe Georgia Bureau of Investigation Director Vernon Keenan would not give any details.

Mr Keenan would only say she had blunt force trauma to the head and stab wounds and that the crime as a 'very horrific and brutal murder.'

Police said the girl was taken to a vacant apartment where she was sexually assaulted, stabbed and beaten to death.

The killer then threw Jorelys Rivera's brutally disfigured body into a trash bin near her home in Canton, Georgia where it was found by police.

It came about 60 to 90 minutes after she disappeared, he said.

This was a very calculated and planned crime,’ Keenan said. 'A child who dies under extreme violence is absolutely the worst thing that can happen to a human being.'

DNA evidence had been collected from the child's body and the vacant apartment.

Rivera was last seen on Friday afternoon, and her body was discovered around 12.30 pm on Monday.

Police and volunteers had spent the weekend combing the area around the apartment complex playground where she was last seen.

At the time of her disappearance, the child was being looked after by a teenage babysitter along with her two siblings.

She had left the park to go and collect drinks from home for her friends, and disappeared between the playground and her home at the River Ridge Apartments.

Brunn began working for the apartment complex last month, according to residents and his Facebook page. He had previously lived in Dahlonega, Georgia, and Dumfries, Virginia.

His mother, Karen-Ann Whiteley, filed for bankruptcy last month. She lives in Dahlonega, about 50 miles northeast of Canton where the killing happened.

In July, when Florida resident Casey Anthony was acquitted on charges she killed her daughter, Brunn wrote on Facebook that Anthony will 'get hers'.

Nancy Hudgins, 57, who lives near trash bin where Rivera's body was found, said she talked with Brunn on Monday as police searched apartments in the complex for clues.

She said Brunn told her that he was nervous about allowing officers into his apartment because he had beer bottles and is not of legal drinking age.

'He was just kind of scared about them going in,' she said.

    WHO IS RYAN BRUNN?

Brunn's Facebook page, which was public but has since been taken down, said he is originally from Brooklyn and speaks both Spanish and English.

The information section said: 'Hello! I'm Ryan I live in Canton GA I have a wonderful Life/Family/Friends. Im very outgoing not shy at all so if ya wanna get to no me hit me up. :-)'

Recent entries were filled with sports references. The last post on November 28, read: 'Gettin off here bout to eat some PIZZA! Hit me up! Lets go GIANTS.'

In an entry dated July 6, Brunn appeared to be commenting on the July 5 Casey Anthony acquittal.

He appeared to have moved to Canton on November 5, which he refers to as 'moving day' on Facebook.

"Not ready to go but i got to," he wrote. "Im gonna miss yall/Dahlonega... I Love yall hit me up n we'll do something sometime.. Got my own place now. :-)"

Investigators are working to piece together Brunn's back story.

Just five months ago, the man now charged with the brutal murder of 7-year-old Jorelys Rivera took to his Facebook page to rail against Casey Anthony's acquittal in her daughter's death. "[Expletive] should of died really but she'll get hers," Ryan Brunn posted.
Wednesday, the 20-year-old from Dahlonega was in a Cherokee County jail cell, accused of gagging, binding, raping, beating and stabbing Jorelys before tossing her body into an industrial trash compactor at the apartment complex where they both lived. Brunn had moved to the River Ridge complex in November, boasting on Facebook that he would live there free in return for doing maintenance work.
Jorelys' body was found Monday. She had been missing since about 5 p.m. Friday, last seen on a playground in the complex. Investigators say Brunn killed her in a vacant apartment in the building next to her mother's building. Her mouth was duct-taped, her hands and feet bound with plastic ties, and her body had been compacted by the mechanical dumpster only operable by maintenance staff.

Seriously though, if you are going to commit a crime like this and you are one of a few people that have access to the vacant apartment/trash compactor, WHY would you commit the crime there, leave evidence everywhere, then dump the body THERE? It's almost like he was completely screaming "Hey! Catch me!"
What an idiot. Although I am glad he is an idiot so they found her/caught him.

Ryan Brunn, Man Accused Of Killing Jorelys Rivera, No Stranger To Neighbors

CANTON, Ga. -- Those who live in a north Georgia apartment complex where a 7-year-old girl was abducted and brutally killed saw their maintenance man on a golf cart headed to calls. They saw him in the parking lot, discussing the child's disappearance. They saw him as "nice."

Investigators see 20-year-old Ryan Brunn as their suspect in the killing of Jorelys Rivera, who was abducted from a playground and dumped into a trash bin. Brunn, who also lived at the complex, was scheduled to make his first court appearance Thursday after being arrested on suspicion of murder and making false statements to authorities.

The slain girl was last seen Friday evening leaving the playground to walk back home to get drinks for her friends. Authorities said they believe she was taken to an empty apartment, where she was sexually assaulted, stabbed and beaten to death. Her body was found Monday.

Georgia Bureau of Investigation Director Vernon Keenan said Brunn, who has no known criminal record, had keys to the empty apartment and the trash compactor bin where Rivera's body was left.

"We are confident that Brunn is the killer and that is why he is in custody," Keenan said, declining to detail what evidence investigators have against him.

It was not clear whether Brunn had a defense attorney. Steven Brunn, 26, said his younger brother is not violent and has no criminal record. He told The Associated Press that "the real person may still be out there" plotting another attack.

"I don't know where this all is coming from," Steven Brunn said. "They said it's innocent until proven guilty, but they already done proved him guilty."

Investigators were tight-lipped on exactly what evidence they believe links Ryan Brunn to the killing.

According to a warrant obtained by The Associated Press, Brunn was arrested on suspicion of murder and making false statements to authorities.] The warrant said he "did unlawfully and with malice aforethought cause the death of Jorelys Rivera by hitting her on the head with a blunt object." No other details are contained in the document.

In an interview with Atlanta's WSB-TV, Jorelys' mother, Jocelyn Rivera, said through a translator that Brunn "is an animal" who "killed my little angel." She said she wants Brunn to be sentenced to death if he is convicted.

Blue Ridge District Attorney Garry Moss said he had not yet decided whether to seek the death penalty.

Brunn, wearing a blue hooded sweat shirt and jeans, was arrested at the complex and taken in handcuffs to a sheriff's patrol car surrounded by a handful of armed officers.

Keenan said investigators focused on Brunn after being tipped off and had been watching him since Tuesday night. Keenan said the investigation will continue for several months.

"This is a mammoth case," Keenan said at a news conference in Canton. "We believe that this horrendous crime was planned and calculated, and we've recovered a lot of evidence."

About 65 local, state and federal investigators worked the case and conducted several hundred interviews.

"Our goal was to make an arrest for what has happened to this sweet, innocent little girl," Canton Police Chief Jeff Lance said.

When Rivera's body was found, it shook the community where neighbors say they all knew each other and a makeshift memorial took root at the playground.

Steven Brunn, a tattoo artist from Dahlonega, said he last saw his younger brother two months ago. The family is originally from Brooklyn, N.Y., he said, adding that Ryan Brunn and his siblings moved to Georgia with his mother several years ago.

Ryan Brunn lived in Dahlonega until a month ago when he moved to Canton to take the maintenance job. Ryan Brunn also previously lived in Dumfries, Va. No one answered a knock on the door of a relative's home there Wednesday.

Nancy Hudgins, 57, who lives near the trash bin where Jorelys body was found, said she talked with Brunn on Monday as police searched apartments. She said he told her he was nervous about allowing officers into his apartment because he had beer bottles and is not of legal drinking age.

"He was just kind of scared about them going in," she said.

Another neighbor, Bernadette Merrill, 58, said she was particularly distressed that Jorelys had been found in a trash bin.

"When it first happened, I didn't get any sleep," she said. "I just don't see a child being thrown away like that."

River Ridge Management Co., which runs the apartment complex, said all employees and residents must pass background checks before being hired or moving in. The company said Brunn cleared those checks.

You bet your ass they are saying it. But there will be a lawsuit. Mark my words. It will be for poor key control (of the vacant unit & of the compactor). They will say that Jorelys would not have been kidnapped unless there was a place to take her to for their nefarious purposes.

When I was in property management, we checked key-rings out to our maintenance and housekeeping staff every single day just for this kind of reason.

The fact that the dumpster was only operable by maintenance staff, and Ryan was a staff member, is actually NOT that compelling. Someone else could've killed the girl and dumped her body. Then, a maintenance person may have come by and compacted the trash as part of his normal duties, having no idea a body was in there.

The key to the apartment is super telling. I was in property management for almost 20 years - you get sued over the stupidest shit. The fact that the maintenance guy (of a whopping 4 weeks tenure, no less) had a key to an empty unit available for him to use on a Friday night when this little girl went missing is going to be a big problem for the owners of that property. I get your point on the compactor. It was more the lack of control of the apartment key that bothered me.

Here is a picture of the complex compactor:

Where does the beast standing in front of the compactor come into play? What, people throw the trash in, and they get this massive woman to stand on top of it to mash it down? How's that work?

yeah, he had no business with the apartment key after hours. that key should have been back in the key box. if he had the only key, and if the property is not mastered key (which is illegal is most states), then who else is going to have access to that apartment without a key unless it was unlocked, the windows were left open or the door was kicked in?

I think it's more damning that he admitted to being "nervous" about the cops searching his apartment. He said it was because he had beer bottles and he's underage. That doesn't make sense. They are investigating a child's homicide, they won't give a sh*t about underage drinking. Also, how hard would it be to tell them the bottles were from overage people that you had over previously?

And that's a serious receding hairline he's got there. He's not even old enough to drink yet and he's half bald! No wonder he had to resort to raping kids. It's the only way he'd ever get any! Hope he burns in hell after they execute him.

I am always wary of the first suspect quickly arrested in a case this high profile and ugly. They want the public to rest assured and they have a lot of pressure on them to make an arrest. Who knows if it'll pan out? And I think virtually everyone is nervous when cops search their house, regardless of guilt.

i get what you are saying, but its really the access to the apartment that gets me. we need more info on that....if it was indeed locked up, if he had the only key, etc.

this has also stayed in my head -

I really hope this is the right guy because this kind of crime is not something a person only does once if given the opportunity
plus in the video of the brother, he said that there was a pedophile that lived above where Jorelys lived.

So true. I remember one where a couple went camping and the woman went missing. When they interviewed the boyfriend he was acting weird and laughing! He looked GUILTY and then she walked out of the woods alive.

But when the cops say that they are pretty certain they have the right person, then that's usually a good indication that the person is guilty. Otherwise they'd just say they are a "person of interest". I'm pretty sure there was some strong physical evidence linking him to the crime. Like maybe one of his freckles fell off at the crime scene or something, or perhaps some of that missing front head hair.

Do you amuse yourself with your asshattery in threads? I really am curious because I am fairly certain that you are the only one amused with the majority of the sewage you post.

Posting on the internet for shock value is passe. Just saying.

    nestlequikie,

I've actually been pm'd before from other members telling me how amused they are by my posts. Not to mention the fact that many other members post witty, sarcastic, humorous, and offensive comments on literally a daily basis.

So to answer the question. Do I amuse myself? No. Do I amuse others? Yes.

Uh, there are literally thousands of examples where cops make quick arrests in high profile murder cases because the public needs closure, issue a bunch of confident statements, and then embarrassingly release the guy a week later after his life has been made a living hell. For example, the Joanna Yates murder in the UK last Christmas. My friend was the neighbor and he was interrogated endlessly, and then another neighbor who was this hobbit gay guy got arrested to for it and everyone was calling for his head....turned out a clean cut young guy named Vincent Tabak did it and has been convicted.
