Police are looking for a northwest suburban man considered suicidal after he drove away from his family home taking only his cat.
Jason Dubas, 38, was reported missing by his father after leaving their Palatine Township on Wednesday night or early Thursday morning, according to a Missing Endangered alert from the Cook County Sheriff?s office.
Dubas? father told police he has attempted suicide several times in the past, both with a gun and a knife.
He left the home with his cat, leaving behind his cell phone. His checkbook was found on the roadway at Dundee Road and Route 53. He was driving a black, four-door 2002 Nissan Sentra with Illinois plates T52880.
Dubas is described as white, 6 feet and 135 pounds with blue eyes, brown hair and a fair complexion, the alert said. He has a tattoo of a wolf?s head and the words ?Lone Wolf? on his right arm, and has holes in both ears, the alert said.
