Dale, where are you in Tucson? My sister and I love stuff like that. She probably has friends that are interested, too.

Thank you! I don't see her posting often, if at all, but I know she also has a love for urban vinyls, which is my favorite medium to paint on and also my favorite thing to collect. I'd love to show her my work!

I'm by Pima west. I've only ever participated in a handful of shows and it was when I was in college. I'm too shy when it comes to art and I'm pretty sure I turn bright red when people associate my paintings with my face, haha. I have a friend who recently opened up a gallery near Solar Culture and he's been nudging me to hang some of my things there, but I'd like to build up a nice collection first. Which will be soon I hope!

Oh, ok. You should try to get a few things together and do the street fair in December. How much do you charge for your work?

Sorry! Just saw this. I'm going to try for December although my work is so stressful that I may have to just wait for the Spring fair. Custom vinyl toys I do for $50 - $100 and my paintings are $150 - $450.

Okay, so.... I was watching a Law & Order SVU episode on NBC.com (because someone mentioned it was eerily like that missing little boy's story and it aired on Saturday - the day before he disappeared) and you have to watch ads every 15 minutes and they had the best ads from Home Depot for some amazing Christmas crafts! They have videos at their site but here are PDF links of instructions and pictures.

Where can I find an old picture frame or window frame? Do I have to steal them from an old farmhouse?

Yes. Or you can probably find one on etsy.

Or if you have some version of craigslist, people are frequently advertising that stuff.

A lot of Habitat for Humanity chapters are running stores with salvaged "house parts" I'll bet they might have window frames.

So I've wanted to scrapbook for a long time but have no clue how to start or how difficult it will be. I don't want to start one and have it look like crap.

Craftster.org has a scrapbooking section in their forum. I haven't looked through that section in particular but I usually browse their projects for craft inspiration/ideas.

I'm stuck on what to do with these pendants, and I have a TON. I was thinking of somehow fusing my art with these so I tested out some shrinky dink, and it came out pretty cool. Maybe even do art on paper and set a clear cabochon over it. My other idea was to cut out some designs and silhouettes on balsa wood, stain it, and set it on resin (I think white or cream resin would look nice) to make it look like a cameo. The pendant frames I have currently might be a little too fancy for this idea though but I will order simple silver ones when I decide on the best size. If you guys have any thoughts or suggestions.. I'm open to your ideas!
