2 fatal crashes remain under investigation
    By Jennifer Bumgarner

Authorities are still investigating two fatal auto accidents that occurred in Shelby County earlier this year.
The investigation is continuing of a two-car accident that took the life of a Jackson Center man.
Shelby County Sheriff's Office and the Ohio State Highway Patrol are still investigating what caused the crash Aug. 9 at the intersection of Morris-Rose and Botkins roads.
Adam Huelskamp, 26, 2496 Hardin-Wapakoneta Road, was in a pickup truck involved in the accident and died as a result of his injuries. Thomas Zwiebel, 20, of Lakeview; Brittany Ginter, 22, of Russells Point; and Caleb Zwiebel, 1, of Lakeview, were in the other vehicle involved. Thomas Zwiebel was transported to the Miami Valley Hospital due to his injuries and Caleb Zwiebel was transported to Children's Hospital in Cincinnati following the accident.
The Sheriff's Office is awaiting a report from the Ohio State Highway Patrol before the investigation is complete.

A fatal accident that occurred on Oct. 8 is still under investigation by the Shelby County Sheriff's Office.
The accident occurred in the 5000 block of Cardo Road at 5:50 p.m. Kenneth Fleckenstein, 56, 9982 Barhorst Road, Fort Loramie, was driving a 1985 Ford F-150 pickup truck and was traveling eastbound on Cardo Road. He lost control of the vehicle and crossed the center line into the path of a westbound 2000 Ford F-250 pickup truck driven by Jeffrey Puthoff, 41, of Fort Loramie. Fleckenstein's vehicle rolled over one time and rested on its passenger side.
Fleckenstein was pronounced dead at the scene by the Shelby County Coroner's Office. Puthoff received minor injuries and was treated at the scene by Fort Loramie Rescue.
The Sheriff's Office is waiting on a report from the coroner.
