Killeen said investigators have narrowed the focus of their investigation into Aliayah's disappearance. He said they are moving to "a favorable conclusion."

I went to look for an update on the case and I see the FBI has been busy. Lena Lunsford has been arrested for selling her foodstamps.

Lena Lunsford has been arrested, however these charges are not related to the case of missing Aliayah Lunsford.

According to the criminal complaint, Lena Lunsford did knowingly transfer a Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card issued in her name and Personal Identification Number (PIN) issued to her to a person known to the United States Attorney, in order for that person to use the benefits on defendant Lena Lunsford's SNAP EBT card to purchase approximately $114.82 of food in exchange for $50 in United States Currency.


Lunsford was released on her own personal recognizance Monday afternoon and is currently out free.


FBI investigators would not say if Lunsford is a suspect in her daughter's disappearance.
"I'm not going over who's a suspect... We're not labeling anybody a suspect at this time. That investigation remains ongoing. We're still committed to resolving this case favorably," says FBI Special Agent Jeff Killeen.

Investigators are still looking at surveillance videos.

"We continue to get evidence everyday, in the form of most particularly, video evidence. Again, as I said last week, we're looking very, very hard at video evidence. There's a lot of public and private facilities around this area that have video cameras and video capability so we have scoured the area and it takes a long time. We're trying to have a lot of that enhanced," says Killeen.

FIRST ON 5 NEWS: Lena Lunsford Releases Statement about Daughter's Disappearance

The mother of missing 3-year-old Aliayah Lunsford has released a statement through her attorney.

A letter written by Lena Lunsford, 29, was released from Woelfel & Woelfel LLP in Huntington on Wednesday. In it, Lena asks folks in the central West Virginia area to keep a vigilant eye for her daughter's whereabouts.

Lena originally reported Aliayah missing in September. She describes her as being about 3' tall and weighing 35 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes.

If you have any information about her disappearance, FBI investigators ask you to call the WV Fusion Center at 304-558-4831.

i think that Ralph or Lena Beat that child to dealth, CPS will call you to let you know that they will come to visit , they will set up a time and date, i seen a picture on facebook, the child has brusing on the chest, arms and face, You bet The mother Knows exactly what happened to this child, Let me tell you it takes more than a couple hours to look for your child, and another she missed her at 9:30 come on now , she was wakened by the other children at 7 - 7;30, Everyone knows that when a child is sick you check on them often.

i know of, i have been following this case close, i am a mother, and a few years ago, i had a runaway, it took me 10 min, after i found her gone to call 911, day and night i searched not sleeping or eating, putting posters everywhere, my child was not abused or neglected, she didnt like rules,
this woman was awake at 7 -7;30 her daughter was suppose to be sick, dont you think she would have checked on her, this kid slept with her sisters , same room, when the other children went and got in bed with their mother why did'nt she. where was Ralph Lunsford, He was Her Husband and living there, he Did not go to work, his wife pregnant with his twins, two older children belonging to him, come on now , pictures showing abuse arressted for assult before , missing relatves who's purse is found around the lake,no sign of the ladies, maybe the girl was missing days before and when cps called to set a day for them to visit, they had to cover their tracks, neighbor in the yard , across the road, never seen mother outside the house, where is the other vechile

Let's not forget that the pictures and other relatives seeing her, all took place 10 months before she was said to be missing? I think about her and how it seems she was so neglected with her teeth and those sad pictures seem to stay with me.

Mother of missing W.Va. 3-year-old delivers twins

WESTON, W.Va. — The mother of a 3-year-old Lewis County girl missing for more than six weeks has given birth to twin girls.

Attorney Michael Woelfel says Lena Lunsford delivered late Thursday. He said Friday he believes the babies remain hospitalized.

Their sibling, Aliayah (uh LEE uh), has been missing since Sept. 24, when she vanished from the family home in Bendale.

Woelfel won't say which hospital is caring for the babies or whether state child-welfare authorities are expected to take them.

The Department of Health and Human Resources removed four other children between 10 months and 11 years old from Lunsford's care after Aliayah vanished.

Woelfel says Circuit Judge Thomas Keadle has issued a gag order prohibiting comment on the status of the older children, so he won't comment on the babies.

This picture was cropped and edited, it was taken with the grandmothers cell phone several days before the girl came up missing, her head was shaved and there was bruising on other parts of the body , Arms and the chest was also bruised and the had more brusing on the other side of the face. there is a saying that goes a long way. A PICTURE IS WORTH A THOUSAND WORDS, the twins she just gave birth to. were taken into CPS cusodity right after birth, siblings of Aliayahs were also removed and are being kept safe, as for the step father -Ralph Lunsford last i heard is still with the mother Lena Lunsford, THERE ARE STILL SO MANY UNANSWERED QUESTIONS ????????
