Unless it's spam, I prefer to lock threads rather than to delete them, but I can't control the other mods.

    Thanks Pandora.

Three of my favourite threads have been deleted over the past little while.  I restarted one but Mike said I wasn't allowed which is fair enough but we should at least get told when a thread is deleted, or have a space to read what has gone on and why it was deleted.  I am waiting for the Heather/Arielle thread to go as well as the Baudelaire twins one.

Yeah I thought of that.  It just really bugs me that threads are deleted.  It's like censorship.

At least cache's mean that threads never really go away, no matter how much whinging dickhead's want them to.

Well, after a while they do, right?
I thought that cache feature only works for so long.
Once I tried to see the myspace of that drunk punk-rock mother that killed one of her daughter's friends in a DUI, but the cache wasn't valid anymore.
Unless of course, I'm a half a fucktard and didn't know what I was doing.  Either way makes perfect sense.

I've got no idea on the laws of cacheship (if there is such a thing), sometimes I can find caches, other times not.  I am sure there is some tech person here who can find the pages we need.

Quite a while it seems - just before and just after Thanksgiving I think it all went off the rails.

If the Baudelaire twins one goes away, i will seriously cry. seriously. but i doubt it will...since they're not real, there arent any parents or family to complain.

I would be much cooler with things being deleted if the thread were replaced with an explanation. I know the mods dont have to do that...it would just be a courtesy :)

I missed that one when it started, so I didn't wanna hop on board at like page 16
    [/quote]

Heh, that's why I avoided the Baudelaire thread for a while, but I'm glad I hopped in at page 16 instead of page 60!

I'm not even touching the ANS thread.

Last night Only1lf started bitching about how none of us understood the bond unless we were married, blah blah blah and demanded the thread be locked.

 I really hate that.  "You don't belong to the Marriage Club, you wouldn't understand!"  My favorite is when the person saying that has been together for a total of a year, as compared to my five years with my BF.  I could just as easily argue that my relationship is more "valid" than theirs.  Meh.

    Okay, thanks for the info.
And i didn't know where to put my question, so it seemed most appropriate in here. I'm sure if i would have started a new thread with my question you would have hunted my ass for sure. The thread can die again now.

As long as he's adding something to discussion, it's okay to bump an old thread to me rather than to create another one. It's better to bump than start again. He wasn't here when it first was discussed. At least he's adding something and not just saying:  :? wut lol bump
