I cant talk about Dark Knight Rises until everyone that is going to see it sees it. I don't want to break any hearts with spoilers.
I wouldn't be offended. I will see it one day, just not today.
I am not a stickler for comic/book accuracy and Im not an asshole that over-analyzes every scene in a movie. That said, I loved the movie and wanted to kick all the "Im a real fan of batman so i dont mind pointing out faults" people in the shins.
Kinda like how I want to stab everyone that says "Yeah, the original song is so much better why even try to sing that song" in the ear with a q-tip. To me, these people are probably the batman haters also. And they probably all contribute regularly to youtube comment threads.
I dunno. As a movie, it just wasn't flawless at all. There were a ton of hiccups, particularly at the end. I really enjoyed it but much like Dark Knight, I don't think it's above reproach.

Im the world's easiest movie critic. All movies have flaws. Im more irked by the people coming out and haitng it just because it wasnt the batman or bane they know from comics. You'd think they'd have figured that out by now.
I haven't heard anyone say that. Although I agree with anyone who says Talia Al Ghul was SOOO DISAPPOINTING. She's one of the most important characters from the comics and she's incredibly kick ass, and this movie woefully underutilized her so that her character was just weak and confusing.

See, as someone that never got into batman comics I don't have any propensity to see her a certain way. Yeah, I guess you can say she was a weak villain but to me it was a good twist and Bane was the only bad guy I found interesting anyways. I had no disappointment because I wasn't expecting anyone to live up to whatever character they played.
I just couldn't figure out a way where if you didn't know some background, that character could make any sense. She just turned into a cartoonish mustache twirling villain and I was very disappoint.

Maybe I haven't thought out the plot too much but, having watched the other movies would give you a fair enough background to know who the character is and why she came to be in this movie. The only part of this movie that had me eye rolling instantly was much of what happened in the pit. I'm willing to give characters the benefit of the doubt and ease up on plot devices and realism a little but much of what happened during that part of the story seemed rushed and laughable.
The characters I had no problem with though.

I love Wes Anderson though so I knew this one would be superb, as usual.
