sent a warning to my isp, my isp sent the warning to me, i deleted it, the next day, business as usual.

apparently isp's get these all the time, they don't follow up unless you keep getting busted.
[/quote]That's probably the case if you are using a "commercial" isp. Some campuses and ahem employers have a zero tolerance policy, soooo... I warn our students to avoid activity of this kind unless they think they can survive without access to the campus lan. If they get caught it's sudden death...

    Just saying.
"It's the salt water that changes the Rainbow's pretty colors to gray." "And his colors never come back?" "No, once he's been to the sea he's changed forever. The Steelhead can come back home here, stay for the rest of his days, and live among the other Rainbow trout, but he'll always be different because of where he's been." Morsi, Pamela. Garters.

    Re: just movie talk...

I was notified by embarq and comcast of my pirate ways.

After that, I gave some thought to just how often I will actually watch these movies which would necessitate owning them in some fashion or another.  I figured, based on how I treat my legitimately obtained movies, that I would probably watch a movie once every couple of years (unless I really loved it).

Assuming this, I decided to stop downloading movies, and instead just watch them on one of hundreds of websites devoted to this.  It's not illegal (yet) to view movies this way.

OK.  I have everything set up right then.  Grand Torino took me about 4 hours to download.  I started dowloading Burn after Reading last night and it is still only at 50%.  I am using uTorrent because it seemed to be the easiest one to learn to use.  I tried using Azure once but I had trouble setting up the port with my system.  Which is better to use?

I use isohunt.com which host axxo's uploads and fxg . They are always top of the searchs on the front page. Always worth a try if you can't find what you are looking for!

I'm the only person of my friends who hasn't and they all loved it. To be honest, I'm sure it's good but all the hype reminds me of when ang lee did crouching tiger. That was a good movie, but not really much better than the chinese movies it was a western version of. The difference was more in the budget.

My boyfriends mum LOVED it, as has everyone else I know who's seen it. It's one I actually want to watch and I rarely find a film that I really want to watch.

I'm getting My Name is Bruce today from Netflix.

On the topic of Watchmen.  I think Bowie will hate it for the actors portrayal.  Mainly Silk Spectre II.  I have been surprised by her criticism of some movies in the past though.  Vaga will probably love it.  Ron will see it about a month from now when we've already talked about it.

Aside from the ending being changed, I think I will love it and probably have to see it more than once in the theater.

Completely unrelated to anything talked about but I have a confession.  I enjoy watching Grease 2 more than the original Grease.  ::sits down::

Didn't care for it that much. As a matter of fact I have only really enjoyed one of his movies and that was Lock, Stock... Snatch was VERY overrated.

Well yellowcake, to be fair, the actual graphic novel revolves around eighties cold-war paranoia, the obsession with extraterrestrials as simultaneously our  friends and unknown enemies, etc., so if they had decided to place it in a modern context, the whole Reagan-era New York wouldn't necessarily have made any sense. So I guess I understand taking out the squid. Ugh, although it will be like Goonies all over again, where they edit out the squid attack and then make confusing references to it later in the movie.

The directors cut was the first version I ever saw as a child. A few years later I saw it again with friends and family. I flipped out and asked where the squid was. "Where is the scene where they are all in the gas station and mouth is looking at nude mags." People thought I was nuts
