We go to a movie once or twice a month, and he always thinks my picks are awful and I always think his are. :lol: The only things I remember about Stepbrothers were: I didn't laugh once, except for at Phil because he laughed like a girl the entire time, and when it was over, they gave us spaghetti sauce.

I just watched Gran Torino, and I gotta say...not so much.  I love Clint.  He was fantastic.  I laughed my arse off at him, he does crotchety so well.  I loved the girl Su, but I totally didn't buy the Hmoung gang.  I was mortified when Su walked in after the big shootup, but I totally thought that little gang was pretty vanilla.  I wish they would have shown them being more of a threat to the neighbourhood.  All we saw them do was rough that kid up a couple of times and then all of a sudden they are public enemy number one??  I totally don't get it.

The gang thing was a bit retarded, I'll admit that.  It was a little gay the way they were portrayed and all.  I think Clint was held the spotlight.  And when that chic came in all beat up and crap, Clint got all upset about it, that made me sad.    :lol:

he pretty much plays the same type of character in every movie, and while people love him for the moment, i think it's the kiss of death in the end. Who's going to hire him for a serious role when everyone knows him as the big, lovable, goof?

I didn't see previews or know anything about it and my friend wanted to see it so I went.
I liked it a lot! Few parts were kinda like "uhhhhhh" but overall it was a pretty good movie!

I didn't like it. And I love the other Underworld movies. We already knew the story from the other movies, I wasn't very impressed.

So this is kinda late but ill mention it anyway.
I went to see Friday the 13th on friday the 13th.  It was entertaining but predictable, it tried to capture the feel of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake but fell short.  What was more crazy was my theater experience.

I saw this in Edgewater, NJ - which is "up and coming trendy with NYC views" but the people... whoa.  5 minutes into the movie I hear "Imma fuck this bitch UP" "you aint fuckin NOBODY Up" "ya i am".. and so on.
It went on for seriously, 3-4mins! People were shouting for them to shut up and stuff until they finally quieted down.
Then at the first remotely scary scene, this girl 3 rows ahead of me and to the right began to scream her fucking head off.  Like a roller coaster scream - put it this way, the bitch on the screen getting chased or killed by Jason wasnt screaming like this shitbag in the theater.  She made me dread scary scenes because I knew she was going to make everyone's ears bleed with her rattling scream.
Eventually, about 5 deaths in, she didnt scream the way she did at first. ugh thank god.

THEN ANOTHER fight was about to break out in the back between two men. "Shut the fuck up"  "You shut the fuck up" "come down here and make me" and then someone else told them both to shut the fuck up and they did.
Meanwhile, the guy next to me was a social outcast - Mid 20's, mullet, and dressed in fo-rock gear.  He kept loudly admiring every girls "tits".  "Damn, too bad she died, great tits"  "check those tits out"  "mmm mmm!!! nice tits"  WTF!!!!!!!!

It was like there was one day a year that these people were allowed out and this was it.

And on top of everything I ran into like 8 of my students.
