Nope Never gonna happen in my house. No snakes, no spiders. Any other pet hubby wants to have is fine but those 2 are deal-breakers. I had a friend that had an emperor scorpion as a pet. He had a claw hand so he would mess with it and make it "sting" his claw. Another friend had pirahanas in tanks. To each their own.

Now that the initial anger has worn off its actually kinda funny. I got fakied. And she told me this story over 10 years ago. I don't even think there was a snopes then, so I couldn't have verified.

i'm sorry she scared you into getting rid of your pet though.

Meh. After I got pregnant, I got rid of all of my snakes. I had like 5. I know she went to a great home though. My friend still has her. She's grown an extra 2 feet and gained quite a bit of girth. That's not something you want around a baby no matter how docile. The only one I kept was my corn snake who was only a foot long and not much fatter than a pencil.
