Serina Wolfe, (24)who gave server generous $5,000 tip allegedly used her boyfriend's credit card for revenge

    https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/woma...105659424.html

A woman, who was praised for her generosity after leaving a hefty $5,000 tip for a server at Clear Sky Cafe in Clearwater, Fla., has been arrested and charged with grand theft for allegedly using her boyfriend's credit card after he refused to buy her a plane ticket back to New York.

Serina Wolfe, 24, allegedly used her boyfriend's credit card without his knowledge after he would not buy her a plane ticket back home to Buffalo, N.Y., Fox 2 Now reports. While Wolfe's boyfriend had initially put a hold on his credit card, so Wolfe would not be able to use it to buy the ticket, he eventually lifted it. Wolfe then allegedly used the card to leave a tip of $5,000 on a bill that cost $55.37, which was reported four days ago by multiple outlets.

It is not known if the server will get to keep the money. The restaurant has already paid out the tip to the server. However, Wolfe's boyfriend marked the charge as fraudulent.

Serina Wolfe is accused of using her boyfriend's credit card, without his knowledge, to leave a $5,000 tip for a server. (Photo: Pinellas County Sheriff's Office)

Wolfe had, at first, denied making the purchase, and her boyfriend believed she was either drunk or trying to exact revenge. She voluntarily gave her boyfriend's card to deputies and was arrested for grand theft.

Christopher Kratzer, (19) and Ava Coleman, (17) accused of a fake kidnapping meant to get youtube attention

    https://patch.com/georgia/cumming/te...oax-collection

CUMMING, GA ? Two teens who were reportedly trying to gain popularity online for their prank channel on YouTube have now gained notoriety in a more infamous way after being arrested. And police have a stern warning for anyone considering a similar stunt.

"If you want to create a social media following, I would strongly dissuade you from this stupidity," Forsyth County Sheriff Ron Freeman said. "Good, armed citizens might have been justified in using force to stop what they legitimately believed was a kidnapping. Committing a criminal act for social media likes will get you arrested in Forsyth County, that's not the kind of attention most people want to have."

On Wednesday, July 3, around 6 p.m., the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office received multiple 911 calls from people at The Collection shopping center about a woman being possibly abducted. The reports by callers said a female was reportedly yelling for help and tied up with a covering over her head inside of a Chevrolet Tahoe or similar SUV, the department said.

More than half of the entire contingent of deputies in South Forsyth responded to intercept this Tahoe with a reported victim, the department said. Deputies were traveling with their lights and sirens activated, trying to help to the victim. This type of driving is not without risk to the public and the deputies, the sheriff's office said.

The Tahoe was stopped by an off-duty Gwinnett County Police officer who heard about the reported abduction. Johns Creek Police joined in on the traffic stop because the chase crossed into their city limits. Forsyth County Sheriff's officers also responded to the location.

The driver of the Tahoe was identified as Christopher Kratzer, 19, and the occupant (alleged kidnapping victim) was Ava Coleman, 17, both from Forsyth County.

Investigators say that Kratzer and Coleman were filming a kidnapping prank for a YouTube channel video.

Authorities say the stunt alarmed the public, creating apprehension and panic that caused members of the public to feel unsafe and to report it to law enforcement, FCSO said.

Both Kratzer and Coleman were charged with reckless conduct and raising a false public alarm and were booked into the Forsyth County Jail. Kratzer also was arrested for felony probation violation.

Untimely flatulence leads to arrest of criminal hiding from Missouri law enforcement

    https://www.thedenverchannel.com/new...aw-enforcement

KANSAS CITY, Mo. ? If you're wanted for a felony and hiding from law enforcement, what's the best way to avoid arrest?

Well, for starters, don't let one rip .

The Clay County Sheriff's Office tweeted Tuesday that one unlucky felon did just that over the weekend, and the noise from the passed gas led deputies right to him.

They followed up the tweet by saying that the person had a felony warrant in Clay County for possession of a controlled substance.

"We?ve gotta give props to Liberty Police for using their senses to sniff him out!" Deputy Jon Bazzano told KSHB.

WEST MIFFLIN, Pa. -- Police are seeking a woman who they say urinated on potatoes at a Walmart in western Pennsylvania.

West Mifflin police posted surveillance photos on their Twitter account. It is not known when the incident took place.

A Walmart representative told WPXI-TV an employee saw what the woman was doing.

In a statement, Walmart told the station "it immediately disposed of the affected products and sanitized the area."

Walmart says it is working with police to find the person and have her prosecuted.

In Texas, sheriff's deputies are investigating after a video surfaced on social media depicting a teen urinating on a shelf at a Walmart store.

The incident comes weeks after video posted on social media showed people licking ice cream from freezers at Walmarts in Texas and Louisiana.

. EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – A Lower Valley carpet store known for poking fun at local politics on its marquee is taking aim at Ysleta ISD after its superintendent allegedly head-butted the leader of another local district in San Antonio last month.

As KTSM reported, the YISD board of trustees voted on Tuesday to suspend Superintendent Xavier De La Torre without pay for three days for not immediately notifying board members about the fight involving Socorro ISD Superintendent Jose Espinoza.

SISD Superintendent Jose Espinoza (left) and YISD Superintendent Xavier De La Torre (right)
Located at 1206 Giles, the sign outside of Freeway Carpets & Wood Floors reads, “YISD code of ethics prohibits headbutts, unless, the dude is totally (expletive)-faced.”

The message refers to the police report that inferred De La Torre was intoxicated during the incident.

The suspect “appeared to be intoxicated due to the odor of intoxicants emitting from his person, slurred speech, and red bloodshot eyes,” according to the report.

YISD board members voted 7-0 after meeting in executive session for more than four hours on Tuesday.

College athlete arrested after police mistake bird poop for cocaine

A drug charge has been dropped against a Georgia Southern quarterback after a white substance he identified as bird poop on his car's hood tested negative for cocaine.

A Saluda County Sheriff's Office police report said deputies pulled Shai Werts over for speeding July 31 and noticed two white spots on his car they thought were cocaine. The report says Werts told them it was bird poop he had tried to wash off. The deputies then did a field test that came back positive for cocaine and charged him with possession of the drug.

Werts' lawyer Townes Jones IV told The Savannah Morning News more sophisticated lab testing showed the substance was not cocaine and the drug charge was dropped.

Jones says prosecutors told him the original speeding charge remains.

I hope they're reviewing all the cases they ran with those same dodgy drug tests & all the cases that came via those particular officers, because something's not right with that false-positive

    Haha!

The rivalry between fried chicken sandwich giants Chick-fil-A and Popeyes reached a new level this week, when Chick-fil-A forgot what day it was and Popeyes was quick to take a dig.

Chick-fil-A sent out an email to its subscribers earlier this week to promote National Sandwich Day on November 3. The only problem: November 3 falls on a Sunday -- a day when all Chick-fil-A locations across the United States are closed.

"Calling all sandwich lovers," the email said. "Some prefer it grilled, others fancy the original. No matter which Chick-fil-A sandwich you love, order yours on November 3 for National Sandwich Day."

The company was quick to acknowledge the error and sent out another email to apologize.

"We recently sent an email that included a message about National Sandwich Day, which naturally we were very excited about. We didn't realize it falls on Sunday when we are closed. We apologize for the confusion and hope to see you soon (Monday-Saturday)," the email read.

Chick-fil-A poked fun at its own mistake.

"The cows sometimes get over-eager on their quest for self-preservation," Chick-fil-A said in the statement. "They have been reminded that Sundays are off limits."

While company representatives have since apologized for the mistake, competitor Popeyes saw the mishap as an opportunity to take a dig at Chick-fil-A. On October 31, Popeye's official Twitter account retweeted a print screen of Chick-fil-A's apology email and added a message: "seriously... y'all good?"

A church in Zacatecas, Mexico, commissioned what it calls the largest statue of baby Jesus in the world. But the internet is hung up on how eerily similar it looks to a certain '80s frontman.

No, this towering, nearly 22-foot statue of the Son of God that presides over the Parish of the Epiphany of the Lord was not modeled after Phil Collins. Insert Genesis/Book of Genesis pun here.

Rev. Humberto Rodriguez told CNN he didn't set out to create the largest-ever sculpture of the Son of God.

"It is an unprecedented work," he said.

He also probably did not plan for the statue to so closely resemble the songwriter behind the Oscar-winning "Tarzan" soundtrack when he still had hair.

The statue took a full year to create and traveled from the State of Mexico to its current home in the church, causing a commotion among passing motorists as its pupil-less eyes peered unblinking into theirs.

According to the Bible, Jesus was born in Bethlehem, not London as Collins was several centuries later. And unlike the Son of God, Collins has never made wine from water, much less lead an entire religion.

A North Carolina couple was watching a movie in their bedroom when they suddenly heard loud noises coming from downstairs. Worried that it was an intruder, the two called 911.

The couple waited for police to arrive, hoping their 2-year-old daughter sleeping in her room wouldn't get up to check on the noise, said Thomas Milam, the husband, in his Facebook post shared to Forsyth County Sheriff's Office's page.

Milam was armed and prepared to use his military training if things took a turn for the worse.

"All my military training came back to me," he said in the post. "I started analyzing the path the intruder would take, their line of fire if they entered the room in certain ways, and where we should be to decrease our risk of getting hurt."

Minutes after they called 911, police entered the home and began to search for an intruder. When the 911 operator told Milam to go downstairs to talk to the police, he said, the officers just had one question.

    "Is this Roomba yours?"

Police had apprehended the suspect: the couple's brand new robotic vacuum.

Milam said in the Facebook post that the vacuum had turned itself on in the night and gotten stuck in the hallway, where it had been repeatedly banging against the walls and making the sounds the Milams feared was an intruder.

Milam said that while they were embarrassed by the comical false alarm, they are thankful for the police officers' quick response and good humor.

In honor of the ridiculousness of the event, the Milams have named the vacuum Harry after the "sticky bandit" from the movie "Home Alone 2," he said.

A Walmart in Pennsylvania is facing a bedbug infestation after someone released the parasitic insects in a men's changing room, state police said.

A manager at the store in Edinboro found a closed pill bottle with live bugs crawling inside and reported it to authorities Thursday, police said in a release. The bottle was found inside a boy's jacket which was for sale.

"We take this seriously and are looking into this," a Walmart spokesperson told CNN. "We are fully cooperating with law enforcement on their investigation."

On Friday, health safety company Ecolab confirmed that the insects were bedbugs. An Ecolab employee also reported seeing bedbugs crawling around the men's changing rooms the same day, according to police.

A Walmart employee later found a second closed pill bottle containing dead bedbugs in the men's department, police said. Edinboro is in the northwest corner of the state, near Erie.

"A third-party pest management service has visited the store and we are working with them to assess next steps," the Walmart spokesperson said. "In the meantime, we have blocked off the impacted area."

State Police are investigating the matter and looking for the person or people responsible, they said.

    WTF is wrong with people?!

Six tourists have been arrested at Machu Picchu after fecal matter was found at a sacred location on the famed Inca citadel in Peru.

Four men and two women entered an area within the Temple of the Sun, a temple built by Incas to host ceremonies, authorities at the site said.

The tourists damaged a wall at the site and feces were found inside the temple on Sunday, the Ministry of Culture told CNN affiliate TV Peru.

Darwin Baca Le?n, mayor of the Machupicchu district, which contains the iconic Machu Picchu site, told reporters after the arrests were made that the group had "attacked" the local heritage.

He added that the incident is under investigation.

Three Argentines, a Brazilian, a Chilean and a French woman make up the group.

Local media reported that all the tourists were aged between 20 and 32.

The popular Peruvian tourist destination is believed to have been constructed in the 15th century.

In 2014, authorities denounced a trend that saw tourists getting naked at the sacred location.

Four American tourists were detained in March of that year for removing their clothes and posing for photos at the site.
In a pair of separate incidents earlier in the same week, two Canadians and two Australians were detained for stripping down for pictures there.

I was going to sue them myself, because not smelling vagina was interfering with my enjoyment. But then I bought one of these, so I'm good.

Well, I wanted to buy it at least, but by the time I checked out the site, the candle was already sold out. So yeah, I guess a whole lot of other people were interested in smelling it too

Mother Tases Son To Wake Him For Church
posted by Dave Basner - Feb 2, 2020

Most parents have experienced times when they've tried to wake their kids to go to school or church only to be met with some kind of resistance, but they deal with the situation maybe by bribing their children with a reward or threatening them with some kind of punishment.

However the way one mom in Phoenix decided to get her son out of bed to go to church on Easter morning was a little extreme. In fact, she wound up going to jail for it.

That's because 40-year-old Sharron Dobbins chose to tase her 16-year-old son when he refused to rise for church.

Sharron explained to her local news that she told her boy, "Get up! It's Jesus's day!" and when he didn't, she allegedly tased him. Her son threatened to call the police and she told him, "You can call the police, UPS, DPS, whoever you want to call."

He did phone the authorities and Sharron told the dispatcher, "You need to be with Jesus right now." Once police arrived Dobbins claimed to have only sparked the Taser and said she didn't actually use it on her child, but the boy had two marks on his leg from where he got zapped.

Sharron was arrested and spent 12 hours in jail on Easter before getting out. Now she faces child abuse charges but seems pretty confident she was in the right, stating, "I don't think I did anything wrong because you're supposed to put God first."

A judge has ordered the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet to pay more than $150,000 for the attorneys' fees of a man who was denied of his request for a license plate that read "IM GOD."

Hart, who says he is an atheist, told CNN affiliate WXIX that he drove around Ohio with "IM GOD" on his plate for more than a decade.
So when he moved to Kenton County, Kentucky, in 2016, he put in a request to keep the same license plate.

But instead, transportation officials sent him a letter denying his request, saying his request was "not in good taste and would create the potential of distraction to other drivers and possibly confrontations," according to court documents.

In response, the Freedom From Religion Foundation and the ACLU of Kentucky filed a lawsuit on behalf of Hart in November 2016, alleging a violation of his First Amendment rights.

Last November, the court ruled in Hart's favor, stating, "To allow such plates as 'IM4GOD' and 'LUVGOD' but reject 'IM GOD' belies viewpoint neutrality. Regardless, the court concludes that in this case, (the statute governing such license plates) is an unreasonable and therefore impermissible restriction on Mr. Hart's First Amendment rights."
Following the court's ruling, Hart was allowed to obtain his custom license plate, according to CNN affiliate WAVE.

Then last week, US District Judge Gregory Van Tatenhove ordered the Transportation Cabinet to pay Hart $150,715.50 in attorneys' fees, as well as $491.24 in litigation costs.

CNN reached out to the Cabinet for further comment.

"I'm thankful to finally have the same opportunity to select a personal message for my license plate just as any other driver," Hart said in a statement in November. "There is nothing inappropriate about my view that religious beliefs are subject to individual interpretation."
