    Zackery Ryan Allen

    Full Name: Zackery Ryan Allen
    Cause of Death: Murdered
    MySpace URL:
    News Article: http://www.stripes.com
Additional Information: 1st class Airman, Zackery Ryan Allen (20) died
in Germany after a fatal blow to the head delivered by Justin Lee
Besaw also an Airman and Allen's supposed "best friend". Zack died
instantly after Besaw severed his left vertebral artery. Besaw is
known for his "hair trigger temper" and has been in trouble before the
Air force and even after Allen's death while still serving in the
military. Besaw's toxicology report showed drugs in his system at the
time of the death but this evidence was not allowed to be heard at the
court marshal. Besaw was convicted of manslaughter but only sentenced
to 3 months in prison! Zackery Allen had begun a successful, promising
career in the military only to be snatched away buy a hot headed,
arrogant, repeat assault offender. Besaw is free, Zackery is dead!
    Where is the justice?

When Allen enlisted in the Air Force two years ago, Vicki Allen knew she might lose her son.
She never imagined it might happen at the hands of a fellow U.S. airman.
Or that it would take 14 months for the Air Force to move toward holding someone accountable.
“My family needs this to be over. I need them to make this a priority,” Vicki Allen said. “Mothers are supposed to take care of their kids. ... It’s difficult on my daughter, and I can’t help her.”
Airman 1st Class Juston L. Besaw, stationed at Ramstein Air Force Base in Germany, was charged with one count of involuntary manslaughter on July 24, said Aaron Schoenfeld, of the 86th AW public affairs office at Ramstein.
Besaw was also charged with wrongful use of a controlled substance, Schoenfeld said. Charges were issued by Lt. Col. Vernon Lucas, commander of the 721st Aerial Port Squadron.
According to military reports, Besaw punched Allen in the head May 22, 2008. The injury landed Allen in a hospital in Landstuhl, Germany, where he died two days later, Schoenfeld said in an e-mail.
