I remember when we used to go tubing a buddy of mine hit a tree, he ended up with a few stitches and a ruptured spleen.  Its just amazing that something as innocent as snow tubing could have such dire consequences.

god, i read things like this and then I wonder how am I still alive.

In college a group of friends and I got drunk at night, found a hill (that had train tracks at the bottom!!) and sled on cafeteria trays!! I actually slid into a bush where I got stuck with half my body on one of the rails of the train tracks!

honestly, how am I still alive?

Odd how they add "Alcohol was involved" as a throw-away at the end of the story. But I agree with several others, it's amazing I survived some of the stuff I did, uh, years ago. yes. Especially drunk at 3:00 A.M., when most things seem like a pretty damned good idea. Sad way to end a great time. R.I.P. Lynn.
