She is on kidney dialysis three times a week. Well last week they have problems with her veins clotting. So they sent her to the surgeon. She has lupus. She just turned 19.

Hi everybody! Brie, sure you can come to Thanksgiving -- the more, the merrier! There will be lucky 13 of us. I am doing the bulk of the cooking... all of it, in fact, except for dessert.
To be honest, Thanksgiving foods are not my favorite. Too starchy and bland. I am making roasted root vegetables, which are delicious: yams, beets, leeks, red spuds, rutabagas. They become sweet when they're cooked. Turkey is easy, as is stuffing. I think I'll buy the mashed potatoes from the supermarket. Cranberry sauce (jellied for me; whole berry for the purists), green salad, gravy... I think that's it. I have to come up with some whores' ovaries, then I'm done.

my mom pretty much does all of our christmas meal! which is almost the same as thanksgiving...she goes ALL out!

Once Thanksgiving (or Christmas, can't remember) my mom put out a jar of homemade pepper vinegar that a neighbor gave her for us to put on our collards. She didn't realize that the peppers were habaneros. The vinegar was so hot that no one could eat their collards. My mom was so mad that she threw the entire jar away. :lol:
