Man commits Suicide in Bar parking lot, and I was there

I'm going to  have to wait for it to hit the internets to see if he or his girl had myspaces.  But I was down in Detroit seeing a good friends band play, just as they were going on they got on the mic and were desperately looking for some girl in there, I'm sure she worked there.  Well it started out, the guy tried to enter the Bar, and I don't know if he was belligerent or if she told Security not to ever let the guy in.

So, he goes out, gets in his truck, starts doing donuts and figure 8's in the parking lot.  Security then called the cops.  When they got there he stopped his truck and blew himself away.  We were on lockdown, nobody could leave the bar for anything.  Way later on we got to leave, and the truck was still there, however, they had it tarped up pretty good so you didn't see anything.  He musta shot himself somethin good because they had to tarp the entire drivers side of the truck.  It was really creepy walking by that truck, the hair on the back of my neck stood up and I got goosebumps.

Thank GOD security didn't let him in.  It was the most crowded that bar had ever been, and it woulda been a mess if he'd have come in and shot the girl and himself, ugh.  I just wish people would stay home, or go in the woods if they want to die, seriously, nobody wants to watch ya kill yourself.

It was pretty dark, and like I said, they had a really good portion of the truck covered up.  I thought I wanted to look real close at it until I actually got out of there and felt that creepy feeling, I quit looking.  It was quite disturbing, it still is getting to me.

I'm keeping an eye on the Detroit area obituaries, if anyone wants to look it up that has better detective skills than me, it happened in Brownstown Township in Michigan.  I don't know that the paper is going to publish it or not, being a suicide.  It was in public though.  I saw the cops coming into the bar, there were probably 5 cops or so that all came in at the same time.  They had the business is serious look on their faces.  If I'm not mistaken, I believe a gunman came in and opened fire in there awhile ago.  People ducked behind pool tables and stuff.  Thing is, it's a really nice place, quite unfortunate that it has happened more than once, some crazy gunman coming inside somewhere.

Still gives me the creeps how easily he could've gotten in really.  We hauled in guitars for a guitar showcase at the show, and we just whizzed on by the security at the door.  Not a pat down or anything.  I've been in a high school cafeteria when a gun went off, you never seen someone dive under a table so fast!

At least the guy didn't pull the suicide by cop shit. I know some arent huge cop fans here, but for a cop to have to shoot someone it's hard.

I think some people may choose to do it in public for fear that if they don't their body may never be found. Just a thought, no idea if thats really why.
