farrah is a brat, but i think people are too hard on her.  its scary enough, being pregnant at 16...but then having the father of your child die before the kid is even born?  and having parents that wont allow you to grieve properly?  yeah, thats a lot to deal with.

I saw no tears at all when she was crying. And if she loved him so much why did she just cut him off like that. I am sorry but she does not seem like she gives a fuck what her mom says so I am not buying that. Also his sister said how he was saying he would have raised the baby if it came out he was not the dad. I think there was a chance that she was messing around with a few people. I hate Farrah she is a brat.

And Amber OMG I would punch her in the face if I saw her. If she was a man she would have been in jail in 2.2 for hitting dude like that.

I have to admit I did feel really sorry for the girl when she was at that silly baby music class (or whatever the hell that was) in an attempt to find other young, single mothers to socialise with. Everyone was much older and with their male partners. Farrah looked like she was desperately trying to appear like she was enjoying herself, but deep down, I think she just wanted to be swallowed up in a hole and die.

It is sad that she doesn't have a social circle or any support from her friends, I think even irritating teen mum's with a crazy personality and a sense of entitlement need a break once in a while and need some social interaction with people their own age. She seems very sad and withdrawn to me, but nonetheless, these are the consequences of bad decisions.

aww. I feel sorry for the girl after analysing her in this thread. It's so pathetic to watch. Even her dad is like  when he looks at her.

Poor Farrah (although I also stand by my original opinion that she is an irritating whiny brat). I have to remind myself they are only young, with huge responsibilities, and have been more or less thrown in the deep end.

I'll straight up admit I would not have been able to handle being a teen mum, I went off the rails anyway, even without the added burden of a bub. Then again, I wasn't stupid enough to get knocked up. It's not like contraception is a mysterious thing anymore.

I started this thread because this is one of those shows I love to hate.  Like Nancy Grace.  :lol:

ZOMG!  And the face Farrah makes when she cries.  The lip curl.  ARG! I laugh every. time. she. does. it.  And her Mom reminds me of a robot.  She seems so rehearsed in everything she says.  Dont like that woman at all.  Oh oh oh and her getting screwed out of her car money!  :lol:  She was in financial crisis, overdrawn thousands of dollars in one episode and in the next there was no mention of it and she was going out to eat.  I mean, who is paying for that lawyer she has?  Daddy?

Maci moved to Nashville Waaaaay too quick.  I could see her and Kyle breaking up from a mile away.  I knew that boy wasnt going to stick around when she became a full time girlfriend.  He liked the distance booty.  And I agree, he seems really dumb.

I feel so sorry for Catelynn's situation.  Her mom is a straight up bitch, yet Catelynn is so calm and mature.  I do roll my eyes sometimes at the maturity level of Catelynn and Tyler.  Like when they went to couple counseling. :lol:  I mean, who does that at 17/18 years old?  And Im glad they did it because I hope those two make it, but the way they presented it was soooooo strange.  It was like...argue, argue, argue and then "hey, lets go to couples counseling."  "Yeah, thats a great idea!"

And on Amber's date, she asked that dude how he felt about her having a daughter.  The dude said "I love her."  WTF?
And she said she thought he was trying too hard but she thinks its cute.  I say she needs to run.  Run fast!  She is a bitch tho and needs better meds.


I really noticed on the last episode how much these girls have moved up the ranks financially.  They are all driving relatively new cars.  They all have nice places to live (except Catelynn and Tyler).  They wear decent clothes and they are always getting their nails 'did'.  As far as struggling teen parents go, they seem to be doing ok financially.

I wondered that too, but she was 16 so her parents might have threatened her. His family didn't like her much either. I think the show only encourages teen pregnancy to girls too foolish to not be able to see that most of these girls are not having an easy time of it. Anyway, under current laws I believe that they were not entitled to that money until they turned 18 anyway, so that was two years that they were flat broke with children. Everyone deserves a few breaks in life. Being on camera is hard, $5000 an episode is really not that much.

I think Farrah is fake. She never cared about her dead baby daddy before the tabloids picked the rumor up off the forums, and there were equal # of accounts that he was in fact not the daddy as there were that he was.

Yeah.  There is still some argument out there about the money they are making though.  I read somewhere that they were getting $5000 an epi, but other places negates that.  Who knows.

And my point is as I stated in my original post.  This show makes becoming a teen mom look like a good idea.  Teenagers dont understand that if they become pregnant, they are not going to get a show and they are not going to live like these girls do.  Unless they have wealthy families.

They're stupid. I'm 19 & my sister in law and all of her friends are having babies now. They think it's fun and games then when they have the baby complain "oh i'm tired and have no life, all i do is school online, and take care of the baby". None ofthem are married and they all live with the baby daddy and one set of parents. I have no children and would love to have one but I know that my fiance & I are not ready for one and we want to enjoy a year or so of married life before we try for a child. Most of these girls have no job and sit home all day with the kid. But they did it to themselves and now they have to deal with it.

I love Catelynn and Tyler.  I hate her mother.  She is a miserable wench and I feel so sorry for her little boy having to listen to all of her yelling and seeing her horrible temper.  She never interacts with poor little guy.  He just seems to wander around the house.  I think Catelynn made the right decision to put her baby up for adoption.  Imagine another child having to put up with the wrath of her mom?  It cracks me up that her mother is so pissed off that "she gave away her granddaughter".  She would have been miserable either way in my opinion and why subject another child to her drug induced depression and lashing out.

I think Farrah has made big strides to becoming more mature.

Eevery teen mom that I know lives with one set of parents still. It's too expensive to go to school,have a job, get daycare, and take care of a home and bills.

Yeah, I love how all the girls are in nice places and driving nice cars. (Except Cate&Ty) Where's the hand me down furniture and all of that? That's what it's really like to be a teen single mom when your parents aren't wealthy. But then again, it sort of looked like most of the girls who continued on to Teen Mom weren't doing so bad for themselves to begin with, other than making the mistake of getting pregnant. Farrah's parents obviously are well off, they were going to buy her a new car way back (or was it that her g'rents were? One of the two) and she's a spoiled bitch. She's grown up but not nearly enough, IMO.
Maci's family also has a nice house and Ryan's place had newer looking vehicles parked all over the damn place.
Amber's always had nice looking clothes and her nails done and such. I don't remember much about her parent situation but her house is filled with new looking furniture and Gary's van looks newer.
Gary's not all that attractive but I give him credit. He was working when she got pregnant. I'm not sure when he lost his job tbh  but he went and got another job, even if it is just temp work. He's trying. And he showed a lot of restraint when Amber was hitting him. I actually kind of respect him, it seems like he's trying and is an ok guy.
Cate and Ty seem to be doing really well, especially surrounded by all the shit. I loved how mom went to Vegas and left the kid with her. Shit, even for a few hours, that's bad. She's lucky Cate seems like a generally nice person, I'd have laughed in her face and said "Look, bitch. You treat me like shit and I am not watching your kid for you until you stop acting like a total cunt to me." I'm excited for them to go visit Carly and I'm glad they have Ty's mom in their lives because she seems like the only stable adult around.

My kids must be one of the few that watch shows like 16&Pregnant, and Teen Mom, and learn from it. They're like, "oh my God, are babies really that much of a pain?" I told em, they're even a bigger pain especially when you're young.

Both girls are scared to get pregnant. Period. I might not ever be a grandmother!  :lol:

I noticed that too... they are always doing some sort of hobby/activity and I'm thinking if they are struggling so bad, why are they going to martial arts practice or whatever or buying a huge bouquet of flowers? Maci's car is pretty nice and how can she afford to get her own place in another city with a baby?
I noticed Amber has a car now as well... she used to bitch at Gary for not having one. I wish we would have seen how she got it.
