PHOENIX - Investigators say they’re searching for a 17-year-old girl who was allegedly kidnapped Wednesday in Phoenix.
Karla Gabriela Lizzaraga-Sanchez was abducted when putting personal belongings into her family’s car near 59th Avenue and Roosevelt Street, according to Sgt. Trent Crump with the Phoenix Police Department.
Her family got ransom calls from the suspects demanding a large amount of money or Lizzaraga-Sanchez would be killed, Crump said.
Crump said the family last received a call from the suspects Saturday.
Police said the family's 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer is now missing with Arizona license plate ALY9263.
