Tell me about it - my aunt was killed when a deer jumped right through her windshield.
No really: http://cashcrate.com/411285
My son was riding home with his friend last night and they ended up in a ditch to avoid hitting a dog, I was upset! Actually, I was livid! They were okay but me and my husband had just told them a couple of nights before that we hit a dog on the way home, sad but I'm not risking my life for a dog!
This is so sad!
I hope her family can find peace somehow.

Yep...this is what I've always been told. Luckily I've never hit a deer...but my mother in-law has hit 20+.
Poor girl though. :-(

Never knew these things were so dangerous.
Sounds like hunting them is a good idea.
It saves lives!
How exactly does venison taste anyway?
And if you hit a deer, do you get to keep it and eat it and stuff?

I dunno how it is everywhere, but in PA if you hit and kill a deer you aren't just allowed to pack it up and take it home with you. The game commission has to be notified, and a bunch of other bullshit. But I am sure after that is all done, you an take it home if you really want it.

If cooked correctly (I like it smoked), venison is the best meat, ever! It's kinda like a lean cut of beef in texture, but it has a slightly different flavor (gamey). I'm sure some people keep deer that the hit, but I never have. A little too hill country style for me!

I hit a deer about 15 years ago. It was night, and some idiot woman was stopped in the other lane facing me with her bright lights on looking at the deer beside her. I couldn't see the damn thing for her lights, and I smacked right into it. Fortunately I was in my truck instead of my car, so I just ended up with deer guts in the grille and about $1300 worth of damage. I had a sports car at the time, and it would have probably scooped the deer up into the windshield and killed us.

My friend and her mom hit a buck once, and when they pulled over the deer's balls were hanging off their grille.

 that's harsh!
Hitting a deer can be just as lethal as swerving, depending upon the size of the deer vs. auto.
I don't enter into mental warfare with morons. It's immoral and unethical. They have no ammunition. AIDA convention regulations, article VII, Paragraph XII
