Matthew Scott Ohl, age 24, passed away Friday, March 12, 2010 in Lancaster. Matthew attended Temple Christian Primary School where he enjoyed Bible Studies, spending many Wednesday at Kings Kids. His family moved to Lexington in 1994, where he attended school from 3rd grade to 11th. There he enjoyed football in elementary school and track in high school. Due to his father's health he lived with his sister his senior year of high school, graduating from Madison Comprehensive High School. There he enjoyed being part of the wrestling team. He was currently attending Ohio University.
In his short 24 years he had many memories of traveling extensively, hiking in Alaska, snorkeling in the Caribbean and sightseeing in Europe. But on February 8, 2008 his most memorable moment was the birth of his son, Carsyn. He cherished every moment of time they spent together.
Matthew loved the Lord and openly expressed his faith with others. His strong faith has brought comfort to his family during their time of mourning.
He is survived by his son, Carsyn Ohl; mother, Rita Ohl; brothers, Jonathan (Marissa) Ohl, Robert (Sonya) Ohl, Jr., Rodney (Tammy) Ohl; sisters, Rachel (Andrew) Booth, Robin (Brad) Roof, Julie (Randy) Hyatt; grandmother, Ella Eulett; best friend and mother of his son, Marcey Keehley and her daughter, Vahna; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Ohl; maternal grandfather, Ralph Eulett; and paternal grandparents, Erwin and Anna Ohl.
Private family services will be conducted by his cousin Pastor Joe Schag Monday, March 15, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is privileged to serve the family of Matthew Ohl.

    Re: Matthew Ohl - 12 March 2010

Just a guess... maybe he was ill... or depressed...

    one of his comments:

    "Jan 29 2010 8:30 PM

Ill keep u in my prayers. Stay strong, the Lord will never give u more than u can handle. You have made it thru Hell and back, so u can accomplish anything and whatever you feel is the "right'" thing, and God feels you should have, he will grant you. Phillipians 4:13- I can do all things thru Christ who strengthens me. "

Looks like he had a baby not too long befor he died.... RIP Matthew..
