That is true-a lot of people lie AT FIRST. But usually they come around, or if they are confronted with the truth, they talk-she didn't. She won't talk AT ALL. That is concerning.
I watch The First 48 all the time, they do all lie! But I think a lot of times it is because they are afraid to tell the truth because they are scared of the killer.
I don't think there would be so much suspicion put on her if it werent for the mass emails she sent out, her changing her story, the plot to have her husband killed, the sexting while Kyron was missing and then her failing two polygraphs and then walking out of the third one.
I know polygraphs arent 100% but I do think that it says something about her, what that is, Im not sure. If this were my step-child and I had nothing at all to do with their dissappearance I would be doing everything I could to help find him.

I absolutely HATE when my son has to do a science project, or "I" have to do it more like it. If I was his step-mother and was responsible for his disappearance/death....I would have done it before the the damn Science Fair Project was due.....

Legal wranglings in Kyron Horman disappearance continue

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - The biological mother of a missing Oregon boy says her civil suit against the boy's stepmother should move forward, despite the stepmother's request for a two-year delay.
Desiree Young says Terri Horman should not be allowed to delay Young's suit by two years.
Horman asked for the delay last month, saying a criminal investigation should conclude before Young's suit goes forward.
Young is seeking $10 million, and wants to force Horman to lead her to her son, Kyron Horman.
Kyron was 7 when he went missing after a June 2010 science fair. Young says Horman knows where to find Kyron or his remains.
Young's attorney, Elden Rosenthal, said in a Thursday filing that there's no Oregon precedent for deciding whether to delay a civil case while a criminal one plays out and notes that Horman has not been indicted.
"The big picture here is this: Kyron Horman has been missing for 26 months," the filing asserts. "Despite a monumental investigative effort by the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office, Terri Horman has not been indicted.
"The trail is getting cold. A stay of these civil proceedings would work a hardship, inequity and injustice upon the plaintiff, the public and the court."
The civil lawsuit accuses Horman of kidnapping Kyron, by herself or with help.
Investigators have long focused on Horman, although they have not named her as a suspect or filed criminal charges. In Horman's motion, attorney Peter Bunch wrote that the civil suit seeks facts that could lead to a criminal prosecution.
In a reply brief filed Thursday, Rosenthal says there's no reason to hold off on the civil suit, and denies the case is a "stalking horse" for police to use to pry answers out of Horman.
Civil allegations require a lower standard of proof ? a preponderance of evidence ? than criminal charges, which must be proven beyond a reasonable doubt.
Horman's motion to delay the civil suit said that compelling her to testify could force her to invoke her constitutional right against self-incrimination, pointing out the weak spots in her case.
"She can defend herself," Young's brief asserts. "If she does not know what happened to Kyron, she can so testify."
Horman asked for and received a delay, or abatement, in her divorce from husband Kaine Horman, Kyron's father.
In Thursday's filing, Rosenthal said the delay in the divorce was granted only five months after Kyron went missing, when there was still a task force dedicated to finding him. The task force has since been put on hiatus.
"The situation is entirely different now," the filing states. It goes on to say that delays could be compromising to the search for Kyron.
Young "fears that the trail is now becoming cold," according to the filing. "Witnesses may die or disappear. Memories may fade. Records may be destroyed or lost. Foggy memories may harden into concrete false memories.

The gym I go to still has "missing" posters posted all over, now with his age progression pictures.
They also maintain the "Wall of Hope," which breaks my heart every time.
I wish they would just find this poor child, and give his family some peace.

I think what Kyron's mom is doing is certainly interesting! Not only is it totlaly keeping it in the media but it is forcing Terri to come out a little. I still doubt she will do much talking but I think Desiree is pulling a pretty good strategy.

They have the emails from before and after the disappearance. In the ones before he went missing, she called him a bunch of names, made comments about how he annoyed her, etc. After he went missing, she sent out a mass email. My sister and all her friends got one and it basically said that she was gonna be accused of somehting but not to believe the hype in the media.
Then, they found out about the guy she was sexting and how she asked him to kill her now soon to be ex husband.
I think Terri is still here in Roseburg, I havent seen her but I know that public opinion is that she did it.

I think a small tear may have formed in my eye. That thread held some crazy moments. Remember the one girl who tried to pretend she was friends with them and then came in under a different name? Damn them and their skittles!
I wish something would happen that would bring whomever is guilty to the forefront for his Mom's sake. I would hate it to be remains, I'd much rather have him stumble home after 10 years.
I think when Desiree filed this lawsuit, this was the first time she ever really acknowledged publicly that she wanted Terri to either turn her son over or lead them to his body. I was suprised because for quite some time, they were buying his school supplies, you know those kinds of things.
I understand tho, I thought it was weird at first but I think they just needed that hope.
Yeah, I still just think there's absolutely nothing compelling about that except distaste for her that really points a finger in her direction. I stand by my opinion that it will be a goddamn shame if this kid was snatched by some kiddie toucher and everyone was too busy trying to make his disappearance into the plot of a lifetime movie.

It's not such a big stretch to go from planning to murder your husband to murdering his child, though.
She planned to kill her husband, was the last to see Kyron alive, lied about where she was when Kyron went missing, and has refused to cooperate with police.
There is no evidence to convict her of murder. But there sure it an awful goddamn lot of circumstantial evidence. The fact that she's not helping, but is, in fact, hindering resolution, is a stone-cold fact. She'll walk just like a certain other baby-killer, due to a lack of hard evidence.
I agree with this completly. Terri had some serious insecurities and I think part of her was very jealous of Kyron. Too many things point to her involvement. All she knows now is that as long as she keeps her mouth shut, they can't do anything.
I think it's a huge difference to want to kill your husband that you hate to murdering a small child.
