weird.  an anoxic brain injury happens when your oxygen levels drop super low, and the brain cells start to die...i wonder how meth caused that.  this interests me.

but if he tried to hang himself, there would have been signs of that, like ligature marks around his neck.  wouldnt that be mentioned in the cause of death?  hmmm.  and if he passed out face down in a pillow, and suffocated...he would have been found that way, so wouldnt that be mentioned?

Maybe he choked on the meth?  You're right, this is puzzling.  I'm sure they wouldn't have mentioned the meth ingestion if it wasn't related.

I don't know if it would be mentioned. Anoxic brain injury would still be the cause of death, right? And maybe they haven't decided if it was suicide or murder or accident yet so they don't have a manner of death.

It could have been a bad batch of meth or the person cooking it didn't know what they were doing. When I was still using, a friend had invited me over after someone had shown him how to make meth using vick's inhalers. We couldn't find any vick's brand inhalers, so we bought the generic kind. Within a matter of milliseconds after shooting up, both of us had intense headaches and our eyes looked like we were strangled within an inch of our lives...they were bloody-red for almost a month.

All you have to be is not breathing, no matter what the cause.  He may have been living with the brain injury until now.

Oh, I know.
I've known people that have been on it.
My uncle for example. He used to be so healthy. He developed diabetes, and really was taking care of himself.

Then he got on meth... and within a couple years, just didn't care anymore. He was more worried about the meth than he was insulin. He stopped taking care of himself, went into a diabetic coma, and never recovered. :/
