Ember Nichole Mendenhall was born August 9, 1990 in Pendleton, Oregon to Teresa Anne Jacobs Mendenhall and Elton Joe Mendenhall. She is survived by her mother, Terri Mendenhall, of Meridian, ID; her father, Joe Mendenhall, of Kamiah, ID and her sisters Denise Jacobs of Portland, OR; Ebony Kaczorowski of Toledo, Ohio; Jessica Mendenhall of NezPerce, ID; Chelsey Mendenhall of Boise, ID and several aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents and friends. Ember lived in Pendleton through the 3rd grade. She loved to ride horses, hang with friends and spend quality time with the family. She moved to Meridian in 1999 where she completed school. She graduated from Meridian High School in May 2007 at the young age of 16. She joined the air national guard in November of 2007 and attended BSU studying nursing in hopes of becoming a doctor. Ember received numerous awards in both High School and the Military. Dance Team and Basketball were sports that she participated in High School. She had a passion for cooking, camping, family gatherings and animals. She enjoyed travel and spend quality time with her sister Denise surfing the waves in Hawaii and snow skiing in Mt Hood. Although her life was cut short, she left an impact on all who she came in contact with. She had a personality and sense of style all her own. She was very spontaneous and had fun in all she did. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed. Funeral services for Ember will be Thursday, December 17, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Summers Funeral Home, 3629 E. Ustick Road, Meridian, Idaho. There will be a viewing two hours prior to service time from 9-11 a.m. at the funeral home.
