The one that has disturbed me lately - I haven't been disturbed in awhile either - was Dear Zachary. I'm still scarred from that thing.  :-(

Other than that, I agree with The Strangers, and Alpha Dog. Ugh.

I have to add though, when I was like 5 we watched one of the 342345 Nightmare on Elm Street movies and my cousin (who was like 20 at the time) made me go to the bathroom with her because she couldn't go alone. She thought Freddy was gonna get her.  Even at 5 I was like WTF am I gonna do?! I'm 5 numb nuts!

You should have told her she'd be fine as long as she didn't fall asleep.

This movie pretty much sucked but it did have one particular grueling moment in the middle when the gay brother kills his older brother.

When I was little, it was Poltergeist. You know that scene where the guy rips up his face? I used to try to do that all the time to ensure we had no poltergeists in our house, I thought it was a sign.

Disturbing, probably Cannibal Holocaust, and I Spit On Your Grave made me more than uncomfortable until she got revenge, then I was a lil disturbed by how happy I was for her to be doing it. And the  og Last House On The Left, but mostly Cannibal Holocaust.

Happiness is the same director as Welcome to the dollhouse. So if you like that you'll probably like it. It's just fucked up.

Irreversible is so depressing and it contains a very graphic, long disturbing rape scene. a very different type of "Fucked up" than Happiness

The rape scene in the new Last House on the Left gave me nightmares.
And I watched Wes Cravens They one time. I refuse to ever watch it again. It freaked me out.

The ending of the original was changed in the new version and imo was one of the best parts. The OG ending kicks ass on so many levels.

It was just horribly uncomfortable to watch. I know I saw the original one but I do not remember the ending.

The ending on the original is unforgettable for me... it was one of the only things the mother could do to seek revenge. Twisted as fuck, that's for sure.

On another note, I was sick at home yesterday and decided to watch Funny Games since there was conversation about it in this thread. Yeah, I would have to say that was a pretty fucked movie. That kid did a fantastic job with his acting, however, I think if I were that age even acting in those scenes would be scary enough to make me actually scared. Michael Pitt was a really good psychotic.

Edit to add: Loved the music and timing of the music as well.

The Notebook and every other movie that gives women that "dream"
And affirmative action is a very nice term for racial discrimination against better-qualified white people in jobs, employment, promotions and scholarships, and college admittance.

How could I forget.  I saw "Antichrist" at the NY Film Festival in the fall (w/ my ex.)  It was f-ed up, someone fainted in the theater.  The cool part was Willem Dafoe (main actor) was there and was interviewed by the audience.

Holy hell.  If you like graphic, nudity, see this.

[/quote]It's a sequel to Feast 1 that stars Henry Rollins and features Jason Mewes.  The second one features two midget masked wrestlers and a baby thats eaten by the monsters.

Lord of the Flies, the scene where "piggy" gets killed by that falling rock.

I had nightmares and was disturbed for months if not years as a kid as a result. :|
