I don't know if you already have something for Zena, but I highly recommend these:https://www.amazon.com/Pet-Parents-W...740428&sr=8-11

Here's hoping the storm and the heat cycle passes quickly!
Glad he made it with no trouble. Finally snowing here, but nothing sticking...yet. I'll have to measure her... I have no idea what zise she'd wear, or if she'll wear them.

Poor Chance is looking at her in dismay. He had a failed career as a stud dog and I think he's worried that she's gonna expect puppies and pup support. Poor boy. His previous owner tried to convince him he wanted to be a dad, and when he turned down the hussy who accosted him, the vet gathered a specimen and did AI. When he became fulltime here, we got him fixed. He's just a happy to be done with that part of his life.

I don't blame Chance...nobody wants a bunch of kids out there running around that could show back up at any time!

Are you planning on spaying Zena? I went through one heat with Cleo, just enough to get her to 1 year old...praying every day until her spay that she didn't come back into heat, before I got her fixed. Back in the day you could do it at any age, but now my vet said I had to wait until she was at least 1.

I ordered medium for Cleo. She weighed 47lbs at the time and was kind of long and tall. It fit perfectly except I had to widen the tail hole because her huge fluffy Chow tail wouldn't fit. She was a crazy velociraptor at that age, and she still did really well with them. I was surprised. They were very sturdy and I don't think she could have gotten them off if she had wanted to, but she left them alone. I just threw them in the normal wash and they came out spotless each time.

Yeah we'll get her fixed after her birthday. My vet would have done it sooner, but I like to let the get most of their growth before messing with the hormones. But I remember why most of my dogs are boys... Chance would have made such a good daddy. Great temperament, good health for his breed.. but he wanted no part of those shameless hussies.

Zena's problem is going to be going outside. I obviously don't want her outside unsupervised, but if she sees me she comes running and wants to play, or to go in and get her treat.. Usually I let her out and she asks to come back on her own.. Oh well, we'll adjust.

Still snowing a bit, but gonna top out about 5 inches or so here... here's Zena meeting her first "fun" snow. It's been a dry winter and the only other ammt of snow we got came when it was 20 below. Today it's about 30f and a little dog can have fun outside.

How's the weather where you're at RBW?
We were under a tornado warning and now we're under a flash flood warning.

It's bright and sunny today. Kind of weird compared to all the heavy rain yesterday.

Sun. What's that? I haven't seen that since May. I am thinking about opening a waterski complex in my front yard.

So you're saying Florida needs to rename themselves the rainy state?!

    We've switched weather with Oregon/Washington.

ETA: it just started pouring again. Good times.

It's been raining a lot here lately. I had to drive an hour on Monday and Tuesday in heavy rain to get to work.

100+ again starting tomorrow. Sucks when you're doing a physical job outside. Bring me CA Winter. Please.

YES. I am sick of this heat. And all these fires....man, there was a bad one by my sister's new house (second one since she moved in less than a month ago!) and she was preparing to evacuate. The air has been horrible due to all the fires.

That's so frightening. The fires this year seem to be keeping mainly up north. We've thankfully avoided any bad ones down here in the southern part of the state. Knock on wood!

Yeah the Dixie fire has been the worst. It's burned about 750,000 acres. The Caldor fire is the one closest to me (where my coworker's house is) and it's already at almost 150,000 acres. Every time I read the local news it seems like there's another fire, new name. Dixie, Caldor, Bennet...

No fires here, but the heat index has been about 102. Staying outside makes me feel sick.

Im so sorry Boston that you have to do such physical work in this shit.

You know if Donnie was president, Hurricane Ida would be too scared to make landfall. Donnie would tell the hurricane to go away and it would quietly leave after apologizing.

I wished this hurricane would only hit and kill one person in particular, but unfortunately, the dude isn't even really near it. He lives in Louisiana, but not close enough for my liking.

I feel very sorry for that whole area. I have a feeling this is going to decimate it.
