I love how passionate you are about recycling and global warming. We recycle everything we can, we got rid of our car as we live in a 5 minute walk to all amenities and we have brilliant public transport to anywhere.
We also try to buy fresh produce that's not packaged in stuff that doesn't rot down. And carrier bags, reuse them people! Especially the plastic ones you get for buying anything in England.
I use a tote bag for my day to day groceries and for the big shop we reuse bags.
We also have a 2 weekly collection of glass, tins, paper, plastics that all get recycled by the local council and our household waste bin is rarely full because of that.
Yay for recycling!
ETA in keeping with the thread, it's a beautiful spring evening here, with blue skies and lots of sun.

oh yea PLASTIC BAGS!!! just say NO people. I keep those recycled totes in my car and I bring them in with me when i go to the supermarket.
DID EVERYONE know that it takes a large amt of petroleum to MAKE AND RECYCLE plastic bags, they are NO GOOD - horrible for the environment. Try to use paper or those recycled totes whenever possible. I even take them to the mall. its so convienent!!
ShopRite gives me 5 cents off my total for every recycled tote i bring in. usually its just two, but thats a dime saved in my pocket and TWO plastic bags out of a landfill / saved petroleum from being burned.

She changes the shirt under it every day, and also washes the hoodie often. It doesn't go into the dryer, but as soon as it's dry she has it right back on.
