Brittany Murphy/ Simon Monjack both died within months of each other

Brittany Murphy has died, RadarOnline.com has learned.  The Los Angeles City Fire Department responded to an emergency call and transported Murphy to Cedars Sinai Medical Center where paramedics say Murphy was pronounced dead on arrival.

A spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office says they received a call at 11:30AM from Cedars Sinai Medical Center requesting the coroner to pick up Brittany’s body. The body remains at the hospital. The Coroner’s office is launching an investigation into the cause of death, which right now is listed at cardiac arrest.

Murphy’s husband, Simon Monjack, reportedly called 911 from the couple’s home at 8:00am Sunday saying his wife was sick.

Murphy starred in “Clueless,” and “8 Mile.”

In 2006, she released the single "Faster Kill Pussycat," which became a dance club hit.

Her last big movie was "Sin City" in 2005.

To be clear, the LA Coroner has NOT confirmed it, a source at the L.A Coroner's office has, which is what bothers me about this.

No legitimate news source has actual official statements from anyone. It's a sunday and thus much harder to confirm news. And pranksters like to pick people from obscurity: there was a picture of Murphy looking like death in People this week.
