Miss Brooke Ann Stokely, 24, of Del Rio, passed away suddenly Wednesday morning, September 2, 2009, at Baptist Hospital West of Knoxville.

She was a beloved daughter, sister, and aunt. Miss Stokely was an employee of Sevier County Health Care. She was a 2003 graduate of Cocke County High School.

She was preceded in death by her father Teddy Stokely; grandparents Jess and Verlie Stokely and Cecil Gregg; and uncles Tommy Stokely and Charles Stokely.

She is survived by her mother and step-father Vickie and Gene Josey of Del Rio; grandmother Trula Gregg of Newport; sister and brother-in-law Nikki Stokely and Billy Shular of Del Rio; step-brother Jason Josey of Greeneville; special nieces and nephews: Teddy Fine, Debbie and Nathaniel Shular, all of Del Rio, and Stephen Brown of New Hampshire; aunts and uncles: Brian and Leah Gregg, Kevin and Angela Gregg, Neshia Gregg, Larry and Blanch Hartsell, all of Newport; Gary and Sharon Hartsell of Morristown; Sheila Langston, Larry Joe and Teala Jenkins, Ronnie and Cecila Godfrey, all of Newport; Russell and Paula Ball, Robin and Gary Baxter, all of Cosby; Ginny and Larry Crumb of Limestone; Pam and Lewis Henson, Deloris and Craig Dalton, Deb and Larry Sutton, all of Del Rio; Lou and Richard Jenkins of Parrottsville; Sue and Jimmy McCauly of Del Rio; Jodi Norwood of Newport; Teresa and Billy Reed of White Pine; Pat and Troy Thornton of Newport; many cousins and special friends including Joe and Angie Toby of Newport, and the staff and residents at Sevier County Nursing Home.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 5, 2009, at 11 a.m. at Costner-Maloy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Terry Franklin officiating. Burial will be in Big Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Friday evening, September 4, 2009, at Costner-Maloy Funeral Home.
