James Matthew Kiziah, 24, of Newton, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2009, at Forsyth Memorial Hospital in Winston-Salem. Born May 28, 1985, in Forsyth County, he was the son of James A. Kiziah and Linda Poffenberger Holland. James was a 2004 graduate of Bandys High School and a member of First Baptist Church in Claremont. He is survived by his father, James A. Kiziah and wife, Sarah, of Conover; mother, Linda P. Holland of Newton; and three brothers, Steve Kiziah of Newton, Tony Bowen and wife, Heather, of Hickory and Bobby Widdows and wife, Joyce, of Knoxville, Tenn. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009, at Burke Mortuary chapel in Newton, with the Rev. Dennis Richards Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in Oxford Baptist Church Cemetery in Conover. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1 to 1:45 p.m., prior to the service.
