I watched "The Man With The Screaming Brain" last night.  I really fucking love Bruce Campbell.

Also if anyone shares my love of Bruce and has not yet seen it, watch "They Call Me Bruce."  It's on Netflix instant right now.

Our friend met him when he was in Iraq. He said he was like a totally normal guy; not stuck on himself at all. When my husband saw the pics on Facebook, he was all FFFFUUUUUUUU!!!!

[/quote]He was doing a Q&A at the book signing.  Bruce said that he'd do one last question and that there were no stupid questions.  My buddy got the last question and he asked what he would do if his hand turned evil and started attacking him.  Bruce Campbell said, "Ok...there are stupid questions."

    Re: NETFLIX JUNKIES UNITE!

I just checked netflixs blog, and the last two posts are apologies. The first is from the Netflix CEO for calling American netflix customers "self-absorbed", while talking to Canadian media. The other is an apology for "accidentally" having paid actors talk to the media at the recent Canadian netflix launch.

Netflix really seems to be trying to alienate their customer base lately.

I've been watching cheesy horror movies to get in the mood for fall and Halloween.

We watched Child's Play and the originial Nightmare on Elm Street over the weekend.  We've got (original) The Omen and (original) The Last House on the Left in the queue.  I also added Troll 2, which my husband has never seen.  Hahah.

They're pretty hilarious nowadays but still entertaining.

I'm not much for horror flicks, but one of the scariest ones ever (to me) is on instant, Event Horizon    :2thescream:

Also, one that was pretty good I checked out the other week was Red Sands, also on instant.

I'm an enjoying the doc Beer Wars as I love beer.

Me and V are on our first season of Lost.

I watch Whale Wars and so after that season ended a few weeks ago, I thought about watching The Cove but frankly, I need a break from watching such atrocities.  My husband, however, has settled nicely into Swamp People.  :|

Ohh Event Horizon was great! Another movie similar to that was Pandorum. I didn't think it was very scary, more of a thriller I guess.

Food, Inc is an interesting doc about the food industry. There was another doc about the same subject, looking more at how the farmers are screwed over by corporations I think. Damned if I can remember the name of it. blargh!

I've watched Whale Wars and although I think their purpose is admirable what they are doing is not, ranging from juvenile to down right dangerous.

This is fucking stupid. These ships are in the Southern Ocean, the deadliest sea on the planet. Clearly the SSCS ship hits the japanese ship.

Here's some pay back.  here's how you lose a 2 million dollar ship.

Both sides are showing complete disregard for maritime law and very poor seamanship.

I couldn't agree more.  I think one of these seasons, Paul Watson is actually going to get someone killed to make his "point," whatever that may be.  My Japanese students say that whales aren't even really eaten by Japanese, but more by western tourists.  Of course, that could be their own bias showing.

Netflix decided to drop Qwikster already

Maybe they should think these things out a little better before they hold press conferences

Seriously. They probably lost a lot of business with that first announcement.

I swear I read a new plan by them every week

I just think its cool that A. customers boycotting the hated change made a difference and B. They actually listened and responded to what the customers want.
    Thats rare.

About a million customers or 4% of their business.

For once. And I doubt it was the customers that made them change their mind... They've never given a shit what their customers thought before, So I can't see them suddenly changing that stance.

Oh well, I like Blockbuster more anyways (Which, in all honesty, has their own annoying little Flaws).

Well what I meant was that they listened to their customers because like Cap said, they lost more business than they expected.

I know what you meant. I just have trouble believing that they actually listened to their customers for once. They've always made it clear that the customers are easily replaceable.

In other news, Netflix has gotten a lot of good shit Streaming lately. Every time I go to watch a movie to try to make my queue smaller, I end up watching 1 and adding 5 new Movies/Shows.
