[/quote]I don't think so. Maybe, but I baby-sat for a family and the dad was a diabetic and drank all the time. Apparently they are not supposed to cut themselves though.
RIP Brian.
That is a most unfortunate profile pic. At least he died doing what he loved.

Crazy how many of the pics on the profiles show them dying what they loved doing most. ha! Anyway that is just too young to die.
My friend is a diabetic and she is not supposed to drink. ( I believe it processess through the body differently than with non-diabetics since it is sugar). But she used to. Yep right into a coma on a couple of occasions. She finally quit her wild antics after having a baby. I guess she realized comas aren't cool for parents night. haha.

They can drink in moderation.

Depending upon the type of diabetic they are. Alcohol is processed in the body into sugars, which wreak havoc on diabetics. Highly insulin dependant diabetics should drink very little alcohol.

I have been a diabetic for 14 years and drink socially all the time.
Thanks for the lesson though...
:::knocks on wood:::
diabetic who had a shunt in his arm for dialysis.
If you are a diabetic and drink, the best thing to drink is scotch it has the least amount of sugar
but if you are on dialysis your kidneys are not filtering the blood and you toxins will not be removed, so you should not drink
when things go wrong and you know they will,
and your daily rode seems all up hill.
and when your sad and blue and want to quit
remember one thing I DON'T GIVE A SHIT
A restaurant employee found Osorio's body Sunday morning. He had a shot glass in his pocket and was surrounded by beer and alcohol bottles.
Police initially thought Osorio had been stabbed after seeing the amount of blood at the scene. Osorio's mother later told investigators her son was a diabetic who had a shunt in his arm for dialysis.
The medical examiner's office will perform an autopsy.
.
Shit! What a way to be remembered :|
Dialysis shunts are in arteries and alcohol thins the blood - probably bled out very quickly
Yeah I don't get it. Did he keep drinking while he bled to death?
Mike -- how can you have diabetes? I thought you were a heartless killing machine robot.

I was wondering if he had all those bottles on him when he fell down and the bottles broke (except for the shot glass in his pocket) then bled to death in the off-limits employee area. :?
Shit!
Found his blog page if you're bored:

Maybe that wasn't his blog, that dude might be too youmg. I dunno. I did find this:
http://www.miami.com/mld/miamiherald/16465607.htm
''There were a good number of liquor bottles around the pool,'' Wright said. ``We're trying to figure out if that's a common hang-out place for patrons.''
That makes more sense. Makeout corner or something.
This guy looks TOO familiar.. I don't think I went to HS with him but I feel like I've maybe met him before..
Maybe at a party.. ha.
But yeah, that Seminole Hard Rock Casino gets pretty wild. Another 23 year old kid died there not too long ago too, but I don't think he had a myspace, otherwise I would have submitted him as well!

Maybe he was looking for the bathroom, or something.. who knows what goes through a drunk person's mind?

So... is that a shotglass in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?

Not trying to be a pain in the ass...a very close friend has diabetes and cannot drink socially because it screws up his sugar badly. Sorry to piss you off.

If you drink a bunch of beer with all those carbs, then yes, that is bad. If you drink vodka and don't mix it with anything TOO sugary, there's no reason his sugars should be screwed up if he's checking himself regularly. Oh, and you didn't piss me off.
maybe he just didnt take care of himself?
