    Charley Project

I've just spent like 3 hours on this site looking at all the missing women in Texas. Wow. So after some of your posts I wqant to renew the idea of this thread.....

    http://www.charleyproject.org

Some  people  disappear and have been that way for decades.  OOoooooo

    Their families never get closure.

There are some that you read and you think "That person just bailed."

Others it's clear they were murdered, the police know who did it but they don't have the evidence to charge them.

Lots of family child abductions too, especially here in Texas where you know they end up south of the border....

So, I have an idea. When you see an interesting one, post it here.  smiley

I love that website. I looked at everybody who's missing from Oregon, Alaska, and Wisconsin.

Amazing isn't it? I'm always shocked by the unidentified, unclaimed bodies. It's hard to believe there are so many people who have nobody looking for them.

I also don't understand people who are missing with their vehicles and the vehicles are never found. Is there a database for that info that is checked when a car is junked or anything? You would think these vehicles would be found somewhere eventually.

i'm addicted to the charley project.  i usually check it because it tends to have a lot more info on the circumstances surrounding a disappearance or a missing persons last whereabouts as opposed to other missing person sites.

I was going through the missing people from NJ when I came across someone I recognized. Turns out he went to the same college that I went to and work at. I definitely remember seeing him around campus (before he went missing. Freaked me out a bit.

It's amazing how some people are missing for years before they're even reported. The old people who are missing always make me really sad.

    Sisters Diamond and Tionda Bradley

i thought it was odd that Tracey, the mother, declined to go identify a girl that had been brought into the police station as a lost child.  Tracey's mother did and said the child was not Diamond.

i think if my son went missing, and the police called me because they had a boy that might be my son, i'd be at that station yesterday just wishing it was my son.

    http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/...y_diamond.html

Edited:  the lost child in question was thought to possibly be Diamond, not Tionda.  corrected.

This one is messed up. Someone poses as the child that got abducted years later, kind of like that Angelina Joli movie.

Two teeenage girls missing, a house burns down, a family is killed, Two separate serial killers, possible dirty and harassing cops, drug dealers with a couple of extra murders on the side.

See if you can follow this case. They even made a TV movie about it which never aired.

It's a trip how many of these are interconnected with the serial killers Derrick Todd Lee (The Baton Rouge Serial Killer) and Tommy Lyn Sells.

It's a tangled web of death....

Derrick Todd Lee -The Baton Rouge Serial Killer  ( http://www.trutv.com/library/crime/serial_killers/predators/derrick_todd_lee/ )

    http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/f/fowler_mari.html
    http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/t/tankersley_glenn.html

    Tommy Lynn Sells (http://www.trutv.com/library/crime/serial_killers/predators/tommy_sells/  )

    http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/s/stroh_stefanie.html

Could have been either, plus another serial killer named Jeremy Bryan Jones (http://www.trutv.com/library/crime/serial_killers/predators/jeremy_bryan_jones/1.html)

    http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/m/mcghee_melinda.html
    http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/b/bible_lauria.html

Keep in mind, these are just the bodies that were never found, many more were murdered and these killers, as far as I can tell, were not working together.

Helpfindthemissing is good too, you can't copy stuff from charleyproject so it never really gets used on the missing boards here. Some of the stuff on there is really heartbreaking tho

That one has always bothered me.  When that happened, it was a really big deal.  Every time they talk about her here, they mention that she was a special needs child, even though this article doesn't state it.  The other girl they link, Amanda Berry is is still a big thing around here.  I still see both of their posters when I'm in Cleveland for school.  The area they disappeared from is really bad.

This one is kind of different:
