Trying to find an old cemetery.

Hi guys! I watched a program quite awhile back about a cemetery overseas that had thousands of crosses and rosaries hanging from the markers and gates. It was very beautiful. Does anyone know where it is located or have a link to it? Thanks alot.

I think it was in South America on a hill, but not sure. It was on the history or travel channel. Never seen anything like it. I will keep on looking.

Per Lachaise is a very old cemetary but that's in France.

    It's beautiful too.

But France isn't in South America, heh.

You watched a program: on what network, specifically?Â* Was it a special, or was it an episode of a regular program?

"Overseas" from where?Â* I assume you're an American ("program" versus "programme"), but I can't be sure since you've kept all your personal info locked away from us.

The way you described the cemetary was general in the extreme, and more detail would be appreciated.Â* Was this an abandoned graveyard, an operating cemetary, or a history-buff tourist trap?Â* Was it in a city or the countryside?Â* What kind of area was it in, climate-wise (desert, palm-tree tropical, scrub-pine Mediterranean, etc.)?

I heard from someone that a sizeable fraction of American schoolchildren believe that South America is in Mexico somewhere.

Re: Trying to find an old cemetery.

The guy I dated in college once asked me where the state of New England was.

Even worse, we were living in a state that is part of New England.

As long as you told him that New England is part of Spain then you're good!
