Jared has tried to add me 3 times on MySpace. I have denied him each time.

    Enough said.

Re: Jared Kraus and his "Dearly Departed"

    Dear Cleveland Scene,

What the fuck?!Â* No one will buy into my MDS-inspired article, and my story prospectus alone is an order of magnitude better than this tripe, by all indications written by a eunuch of prose who is apparently too lazy to ask the actual identities of his primary sources -- yet this babbling hack with a possible talent for lead-ins is getting paid to churn out this puppyshit while I languish broke and freezing cold in a tiny apartment in the Provinces!Â* That God has seen fit to make him work in Cleveland offers me some solace, but not enough to keep me from declaring a blood vendetta against Jared Kraus.Â*

You may have just been exercising bland hackery in the wrong place at the wrong time, Kraus, but that bothers me significantly less than it should alarm you.Â* Damn you, Jared Kraus!Â* When I find you, you will wish you had been born a fucking iguana!

[lets out an inhuman shriek of anguish and attacks computer monitor like a squid with rabies]

    Sincerely,

    [my name][/tt]

I actually enjoyed the article. Hell his opening story was a great catch... kept me reading. Sure he took his shots at us... but what do we do EVERY day on this board. I wouldn't be suprised if he is already a member and has been chatting all along.
    Boring game.

Funny, that's EXACTLY what my boyfriend said when he read it. He said, "I don't even like deathspace, but when he describes the girl reading it with her wet hair and so wrapped up in it all it proves to me that it can be very exciting! If anything it's a really good endorsement"

And he's a writer. La Virgen on a stick, doesn't he know that generally only the worst, mass-market pap gets made into movies, and when good books do get "made," they tend to suck dog balls? Witness: Starship Troopers.

I think he was trying to be witty. He failed.

He just doesn't want to admit in writing that the only things he's read in the last five years have been Harry Potter novels and the entirety of the Left Behind series.
